The 41st Annual NAACP Image Awards were the place to be Friday night. Hosted by Hill Harper and Anika Noni Rose, the star-studded event included performances and tributes from Wyclef Jean, Keri Hilson, Tamela Mann, Jill Scott, John Legend and Mary Mary and honored Tyler Perry, Vann Jones, Wyclef and Clarence Avant.

I was very impressed with the entire show. Everyone looked beautiful and I was very pleaseed with many of the winners who don’t get the same love at more “mainstream” events. Very well put together.

It was a great show last night. I missed the part where Keri and Keke won but congrats to them and everyone else. I loved the sincerity of Darryl Mitchell’s speech and the messages in Tyler Perry and Van Jones acceptance speeches.
