Check out new music from J. Holiday, in the form the mid-tempo synth ballad, “Pretty Body.”
Supposedly, the new Los Da Mystro-produced track is the first single from J. Holiday’s presently untitled third studio effort. Oddly enough, with The Dream’s new single leaking as well, the tracks have the same feel for both their first singles.
I was bout to say the same thing you said Brian. This song reminds me so much of The Dream’s new single only difference being that J. Holiday can sing. It’s too bad he only had one hot banger on his first LP. Bed was my jam but Suffocate was just mediocre. He may need to find a single to distinguish himself from the rest of the music that is coming out but I’m not gonna lie. I am feeling this song.

What people fair to realize is that the similar sound you hear in the tracks is the producer branding his music, Los Da Mystros biggest influence in music was prince so his beats are a way to pay homage and try to bring back good music. Most producers today just pound on a drum machine and hope somethin cool comes out. Los is a musician and a real producer, the problem with music today is people dont know or understand the difference. Alot of Dreams music sounds like Prince because thats his idol and most of his music is genius people just so used to T pain songs they dont understand it. Kind of like Jayz’s lyrics….The point is to appreciate music you have to understand where it comes from and what constitutes and good song or ALBUM all of dreams albums are classic theyre a compilation that tells a story, again ppl just dont get it which is why the music industry is in the state that its in now…

I was thinking the exact thing coffeebrown said before i read the comment; he needs a stylist and a more grown man look. That beat sounds just like the beat on Chris Brown’s song “You” on Exclusive, which was written by the Dream. The Dream’s lyrics are very, very kindergarten; it sounds like a 10 year old can write the stuff he writes.
I like this song! J. Holiday is very talented but he is looked over. Sounds better then a lot of the garbage on the radio.
