So natural, yet so out of this world
THE AMERICAN artist Erykah Badu doesn't like the term with which she is virtually synonymous - she even declared the genre dead in 2003 - but were you ever curious as to what is "neo-soul", an audience with Badu, whether she likes it or not, explains everything.
Erykah Badu concert date changed to Feb 29
In a press statement from event promoter Pineapple Concerts Sdn Bhd, its managing director says that the change is to accommodate “her extended stay here in Malaysia and any inconvenience caused by this change is highly regretted.” He assures concert ...

interesting indeed. not feeling it like Window Seat but some of those screen shots would make a nice batik.

  2. Omy

Wow, the special effects on this video are making me dizzy.

  3. mrs. sk8board p (ak & bk stan)

okay, so i like the video (erykah is gorgeous) and the song sounds better on the seond listen

  4. MEANDME

IMA NEED JUDAH ANALYSIS ON THIS ONE LOL

BUT LOVE MISS BADU SHE THE TRUTH

  5. I LOVE THIS GAME

    OKAY , is this a Video ? ? ? very very tacky come on now . roll eye’s .

  6. slimredchick(NEWORLEANSBOUND)

I don’t like the special effects..it reminds of this toy i had when I was a kid and you could look in the little lense and it changes and stuff…yeah

  7. Jashunta

There is a reason why this video style was left in the past. Do us all a favor video directors, and leave it in the past. Amateurs on youtube can make a better music video.Matter of fact, I’m sure there is one fan made video getting more views than this will. If they paid $1 for this sorry excuse for a music video…smh

  8. B

This song is basically instrumentals w/ a repeated chorus and lil wayne rappin. Not feelin the song or the video. Erykah need to let that wig go.

  9. heart

i don’t think ill be getting her new album this time around

  10. NoMoSoul

Suprisingly, i actually like the song. love the vibe of it all, “jump up in the air and stay there”, and the instrumental is dope, sorry but its true. it is.

Sometimes its the simplest lyrics that can bring about the strongest emotion. Sure she could’ve added more to it if she wanted, but she didnt have to, and i really dig it.

On that note, this video reeks of amateurism and trite special effects. Very disappointing. It something i could’ve made on my own comp. We barely saw Erykah’s face which kinda defeats the purpose of a music video.

I hope there are at least 10 other versions of this music video to make up for such a poor poor attempt first attempt.

I love Erykah and Weezy but Ummm No.

  12. Langston

I like the song and the video. The video aims to have the very “homemade” feel that many of you are dissing it for. It works in my opinion, in the same way that grimy shot indie films that are made on shoestring budgets, often work. This video is at a minimum, creative.

  13. Nubia455

I loves it very creative & I’m in love with the song could do without lil wayne’e verse but overall i was feelin it

  14. BritishNigerianJamaican

hey is JUDAH in the building??? Not feeling the song at all in the first place.

  15. mellowdarling

I agree Nubia455 about that wack as usual L’il Wayne verse (he’s so over-rated). I love Miss Badu so I’m getting the CD in March regardless. I’m kind of wondering who’s gonna be featured on the other versions…..maybe Andre 3K or Common. A girl can dream right? She always made beautiful music with the exes. The video is trippy and a little old school (if you can call the early 90′s old school now, LOL) but I like it. It’s more creative than all the club scene videos that are out now anyway.

  16. cali panamami

ya know, kids…there’s alot more going on outside this box. with that being said…
    i like it.
    i like it alot.

looking forward to the version with her and mr. bilal oliver. i hear him all over the background vocals.

    yeeeesssssss!

  17. LULU

Agree with 16 & 17! But she tired it with the ‘Free Lil’ Wayne’ quote towards the end.

  18. Weekend_Love

Lmfao!!!!!! word i agree with #4. I’m confuse about this one but i love Erykah Badu

  19. CRaZy5470

ummmmm… why did they do the ET thing @ the end… I have too many questions about this vid lol

  20. karentaylorbabe2

are we suppose to be sucked into this spiral trance? showing the baphomet sign and other illuminati symbolism .the song is lame at it’s best and the main purpose is to draw us into these spells and mind control tactics what a joke !

  21. karentaylorbabe2

erykah badu falling down the rabbit hole (alice in wonderland) you took the oath now take a seat please !

  22. Ra-Ra

This song is HOT. But the video is distracting. Go back and listen to the song with the volume up, WITHOUT watching the video.

  23. Ra-Ra

You people really believe this baphomet/celebrities worshipping the devil stuff??? This is how it starts…people seeing demonic images everywhere, even in their rice crispies cereal. I’ll tell you how it ends…you in a straight jacket. Stop calling on the devil so much…or else one day he just might answer you.

  24. Ra-Ra

The ending doesn’t remind me of ET. It reminds me of the painting of the Sistine Chapel by Michelangelo, which depicts man reaching out to God, or God reaching out to man rather..which symbolized the creation of man.

  25. B

listened to this song a second time and i like it. still dissapointed w/ the video though. even though kaleidoscope effect is kinda cool. lol @ 3:00-3:28. Jumpin up in the air and stayin there would be cool af. Love the cello playing in the background.

  26. YellingGirl

I liked the song! I am always happy when a black artist thinks our the box and doesn’t do the “typical black” video!

  27. karentaylorbabe2

@ RA-RA making a comment and stating my opinion is not “calling on the devil” i know what my eyes see and my ears hear. all these symbolism’s and baphomet devil signs, blood ,skeletons, pyramid signs, lil wayne saying he’ll eat a child, people levitating ,angels demons, goat heads all of this is thrown in our faces .me listening to this garbage is as if i was calling on the devil which is why i don’t listen to this mess .i knew turning on erykah’s video with lil wayne i had to turn down the volume i always watch and listen before i allow certain things me or my family bring into my house.i know if i listen to music that bothers my spirit it will lead to me in a straight jacket lol i’m sure my opinion won’t stop you from purchasing her music one way or the other. uhm you mentioned devil worshipping not me. i don’t know why? i’m more concerned about people worshipping celebrities and getting angry and taking things personal.oh for future reference RA-RA dear i suggest you realize people are going to disagree or agree on here so i probably didn’t give you a good argument because to me nothing on concrete loop is that serious for me to tackle sorry. the devil has all of our numbers including yours the question is are you going to pick up? the devil always needs to be exposed all his tricks and slick ways. moving along to the next page.
