I think it’s so gangsta that they are shooting this video around Bee’s current tour schedule (during which she’s performing at sold out arenas in South America).
I am so happy for these women. Beyonce is my favorite singer and Alicia’s new album is absolutely incredible.
My only hope is that “Telephone” doesn’t co-incide negatively with “Love Song.” Maybe Gaga’s song will be a #1 pop/dance hit and “Love Song” will take over the R&B charts first before moving onto the Hot 100.
Either way, it’s double the BEAST, so I’m happy.
Im kinda disappointed that Alicisa would like Beyonce’s style influence her video. Beyonce is such an attention hog. Its like she always do EXTRA to out do the other chick. First she totally water down Gagas larger than life image for her video, just so she cud shine more, now she has the best coustumes in Alicias video.

Videophone was BEYONCE’S SONG which is why she basically had the right to dictate what they wore…besides, Gaga was pleased to ‘be just like Beyonce’ as she stated herself….From the stills of Telephone, it’s obvious Beyonce had to dress much more edgier and different cause it’s Gaga’s video and she had to conform to whatever she did!
Lastly, when were these outfits Beyonce-related? i’ve never seen her in these types of clothes so how did she possibly influence Alicia’s style?

The video was clearly influenced by beyonce’s creative team and geared more towards her style. Because if this was going to be an Alicia style video, Laurie ann gibson sure wouldnt be choreographin, they would not be dress like that, and Alicia would have been somewhere wearing jeans sitting behind a piano.

The video looks a Beyonce video and Alicia looks like a backup dancer. I cant believe Alicia azz would sit there and let them totally glam up beyonce in that awsome printed jacket and put her in a tee. Thats typical beyonce/tina though. They did the samething with Shekira in beautiful liar. And for two of the biggest names in music this song is very mediocore. This is a song that Teiarra Mari and Amerie should be doing, not mega talents like Alicia and Beyonce.

I don’t Alicia is conforming to Beyonce’s style at all. It is a fun up tempo song and they are in Brazil. The video has an Africian feel and design to it. Very cultured and Very Alicia. Also, Beyonce is wearing the style that she normally wears and Alicia is wearing cute little dresses with color and I’ve seen her in cute little dresses before. Alicia is not playing herself in any way. Believe me, Alicia is doing her because she doesn’t follow she leads. Alicia wanted to try something different on this album and teamed up with Bey for a little different flavor. Although, I don’t like the song, I get that she was stepping out of her comfort zone. I applaud her for working with Bey and the ladies are both lovely. They both will shine in their own right.

I believe you’re being too complex, and over-thinking this when it’s simple that Beyonce just so happened to look a tiny bit better. I don’t think a simple video would ruin Alicia’s career, since she already established her place in the industry, have her own fans and respect, and that she does different music than Beyonce. It’s really not THAT deep.

I knew that was African material. They both look hot rocking them though. And that Box Kitten chick definitely got her inspiration from Africa. You can save yourself a lot of money by just asking an African (or anyone) who can sew to make you the garment you want…in fact it’s better that way because you can actually get it fitted to your measurements. And it’s easy to buy the material from your local shop. I got an oufit made in Africa last year for about $5 no lie.

i don’t see a problem with the clothing choices. if anything, they did a great job b/c i usually don’t care for alicia’s body (she usually has cankles, a wide, flat butt etc.) but here her body looks amazing, like really sexy, especially in that skirt. she looks pretty- love the changes to the hair. the hair pieces are on point. i wasn’t feeling her natural hair. sorry
