Estelle backstage at G-Star Raw Fall/Winter 2010 Collection at Hammerstein Ballroom on Tuesday night (February 16) in New York City.
The singer/songwriter, who performed in Vancouver earlier this week (pictures below), also hit up the Maz Azria show on Tuesday night. You can also check out video below of the debut of her jewelry line with designer Rachel Roy.

Designer Rachel Roy has partnered with Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Estelle to create a jewelry collection exclusively for the Rachel Rachel Roy brand.
The limited edition and limited quantity collection, which was co-designed by Rachel and Estelle, includes necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings ranging from $34 to $195 and will be available for sale next month.

@ #22- I agree that America has an obsession with light skin. Before I even came on this blog I never knew people were like this. Over in the UK, this light skin/ dark skin thing isn’t even at that level. Black is black…ain’t that what you Americans live by- the one drop rule.
Estelle is beautiful, now she may not be perceived as the ‘typical’ standard of beauty but neither is Tyra or Lauryn Hill and I find both ladies stunning.

I have been to blog after blog where folks just tear Estelle to pieces… I dont see what everyone else sees/ I see a beautiful women. She’s not the typical lighter skinned image we’re used to so i think we dont know what to do with her, but why. I seriously believe if she looked exactly the same, just beyonce’s complexion, you all wouldnt keep ugly in mind every time u saw her name. Most of u probably dont even know why u think she is ugly because this level of hatred has been taught to us and just seems natural…she’s still a person. Let her live

i mean i get it-it’s true tht lighter-skinned women get passes. i’ve seen some ugly light girls get called exotic-looking and beautiful b/c they apparently just look different from the norm and aren’t ugly (yeah right!) and i’ve seen attractive darker-skinned girls get called ugly-if they were a couple of shades lighter, ppl wouldn’t call them ugly at all. however, we can’t always pull the color card-we have to draw the line somewhere. estelle is not pretty just like leona lewis isn’t pretty but b/c she’s light and has a good makeup artist ppl look past her funny nose and strange look. oh well
