Actor/comedian Brandon T. Jackson promotes Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief at Borders Kips Bay on Wednesday (February 3) in New York City.
The 25 year-old is co-starring in the highly anticipated film which is slated to be the next ‘Harry Potter’, since the book releases are very popular. He is pictured below with co-stars Logan Lerman and Alexandra Daddario.

I read this novel in 2007. I knew it would be made into a film, so it feels weird that 3 years later, here it is. The novel also reminded me a lot of Harry Potter, but it is completely different.

I have no problem with this dude but as a fan of the Olympian series, he should not have been cast as grover because he is absolutely nothing like the character in the book, they didn’t even TRY to make him like the character. And that chick is supposed to be blonde. Still gonna watch the film and it’s a 5 series book so he should have a job for a while to come.
Perhaps I should have said they needed to make more of an effort to make him look like the character (rather than saying he should not have been cast). That could not have been so hard to do.

I like Brandon T. Jackson…I think he’s soo cute plus I just loooooved Tropic Thunder.
#11 & #12…I think they casted him to make the movie appeal to other races…instead of just having an all white cast….If it was all white I wouldnt be as excited to see the movie as I am with Brandon in it….In my honest opinion…
regardless, I not really going into this movie expecting it to be like or just as good as the book…I think I’ll be setting myself up for disappointment.
