‘ROUND THE WAY: FANTASIA TALKS WITH OPRAH + PERFORMS NEW SINGLE “EVEN ANGELS”

Fantasia appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Wednesday and performed her brand new single, “Even Angels”. The singer also sat down for an interview with Oprah and talked about the mishandling of her money and fame.

She hit rock bottom when she found out she couldn’t even afford a pizza. “The pizza lady says, ‘Well, the card declined,’” she says. “At that point I knew that I had been mishandled. Because there should have been no way that there wasn’t any pizza money.”

Fantasia says she then experienced a moment of truth. “I couldn’t go to anybody else in my home and ask them for anything because I had been doing everything.” [ READ MORE ]

You can view her performance of “Even Angels” on Oprah’s official site. It is also on Youtube, but I didn’t want to post it because we all know Harpo does not play and it will be removed soon. LOL

In related news, Fantasia reprises her role in The Color Purple in Los Angeles from February 10 through February 28. As for her new album, it will be released sometime in Spring.

I agree. I just don’t get it either. Smh.
Fantasia looked beautiful and she sounded great! The song was beautiful and the audience loved it. She has a true gift and she was born to do this. She can sing the telephone book and make it sound good. I knew she would win American Idol as soon as she stepped into the audition room. Welcome back Fantasia. Your fans have missed you and your gift!

  2. On the serious tip. . .

Tasia’s performance made me tear up alittle bit. I am also happy that she is learning, it taught me something about myself.

Fantasia is totally underrated and if people like rhianna or keshia coles cant get hit and be mainstream soooooo can tasia because she sings circles around everyone in the game if you want to be really real about it. she gives me what i want everytime!!!!!

  6. ORGANIZED NOISE ♪♫♫

GOOD JOB MS.BARRINO! RICCO NEEDS TO JUST KEEP DOING BACKGROUND VOCALS AND GET THAT MONEY. NOBODY WILL BE CHECKING FOR HIM AS A SOLO ARTIST.

She did the damn thang on Oprah. She will be just fine because she has Oprah wanting her to succeed. When Oprah talks people listen.

Wowww those braces really helped her. Her teeth look great.

I’m sorry, but I really didn’t like it…Fantasia’s voice sounds like a screeching cat (talking and singing)! It sounds boring to me, but to each its own….

What a talent, what a voice. I saw a clip of Fantasia singing “His Eye Is On the Sparrow” she was 13 at the time, it was incredible. It is a shame, that we have to read and hear so much about talentless half naked girls all the time because they are supposed to be beautiful. Fantasia, Mary J,Jennifer Hudson, Leona Lewis, Beyonce,Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Whitney and Maria, they are the girls with the singing talent. I wish the media will pay more attention to talent and and stop forcing all these talentless, semi naked, over hyped drama queens ( Lady GaGa, you are excused )down our throats. Go Fantasia!

I loved this performance by Fantasia. She showed restraint and control singing, yet put little touches of Tasia in there. You could tell she really believes the words of this song and feels it in her heart. She made me shed a tear. I don’t care whether this is a crossover hit or not. I just want to hear it to get a lot of airplay. I love the message of the song. I loved her performance. Her hair was a bit “mature” for her, but it softened her up a bit. Her makeup and outfit looked great.
