Check out Sade performing the title track from the band’s latest album Soldier of Love, which debuted at No. 1, selling over 500,000 units and also marking the best sales week for an album by a band or group.
In an interview with National Post, Sade addressed rumors that she’s collaborating with Drake and Kanye West:
I don’t think they have contacted me. I’ve never collaborated because I’ve always avoided working outside my safety zone — I can be exactly who I am and can fail or success within the moment. I feel safe working like I do. I wouldn’t want to work in a situation where I am expected to deliver because I think I wouldn’t deliver.
Modest much? When asked about the next album, she admitted that she hadn’t listened to Soldier of Love in its entirety yet and that “I won’t know what our next album is going to be until we do it.”

I can’t really get into Sade music never could her music makes my day seem boring although I do like some songs from her she just a bit to smooth and gloomy for me.
I enjoy her album on a daily basis. l ~♥~ the album so much. Such a relief, she’s grown and does not need to resort to Gimmicks to sell her craft!
I saw sade on jimmy kimmel live last nite n she was FANTASTIC. This smooth operator will coast 2 1 million sold easy n quickly.
And why would Sade, a real artist want to work with Drake and Kanye; pleeeeze. She’s being true to herself AND music by only sticking to what she knows, if she’s more comfortable working alone, what’s wrong with that. Nice to know she’s just not in it for popularity, or she’d worked with Lady Gaga too.
Her music is more so SOOTHING than BORING. That’s where I think you people get confused. There’s always a time to settle down and feel confort and Sade’s music does just that. Obviously if you’re in the middle of a club you wouldn’t want a break down of “Soldier of Love”.

I never grew up in the 70′s – 90′s but thats when music was at it’s best. I thought her performance was fantastic and i think Sade doesn’t need to be on their level because she is above all. Her music isn’t made to be a club banger, it’s made to sooth you’re soul. I don’t hate, i just tell it like is. So if something sounds bad or just isn’t my cup of tea…then it just isn’t.

Why you always have to put beyonce in something her music is nowhere near sade’s level, she just hot at the moment lets see her sell those numbers 20 years from now. That’s not always though because Britney Spears sold like a million copies a week of her oops I did it again album. I like Britney Spears but at the same time her and Beyonce music is not deep and it’s mostly pop and radio friendly hits. It seem like you have something personally against Rihanna. If she’s not all that like you say why are you spending so much energy downing her. Rihanna do have many #1 hits and sold millions of albums worldwide also and she’s like only 22 remember. I love her, and she is reminiscent of old skool music when artists studied their craft; they didn’t have to rely on shaking their arses and showing their body to get hits.
