I won’t say anything negative about Chris Brown. I sincerely hope that he has changed for the better, and move forward with his career. It was great that he went to a school and read to the kids. The importance of reading is not stressed enough with our children. They rather play video games and be on the internet than read. Good look Chris.

First and foremost, this is a disgrace to the urban school to have invited a felon to try to read to students. All this post highlighted was the stupidity of african americans. The media is already aware of Chris inability to articulate and form a proper sentence, so no browny points from me. Second Chris put himself in a position where he’s at, he along with Rihanna used this incident to promote their albums and we all remember who started the interviews first. Chris went from radio shows to tv shows and kept changing the story line and was very inconsistence. He made himself look like an *ashole* by pulling pr stunts on youtube, twitter and an award show (wearing a shirt that would offend everyone, fully aware of how recent the events occured). We all have acknowledge his apology but seriously not everyone carries the same set of standards as the “forgive and forget” crowd. Last but not the least and there are so much more drawbacks to him as a Z-list singer, radio stations are playing his music but he lacks the promotion and powerhouse label backup he onced had which is causing his songs radioplay to decrease. Along with this issue, he’s facing competition from consistent artists, which someone already mentioned.
Please let go of the word “hating” and look at it as constructive criticism. Let me address those will the “rihanna stan” ridicule. I’m not a fan of rihanna either, I’m a fan of concreteloop and I can choose any post I desire to read and post a comment. That choice is left to each and everyone.
There’s no need to wish death on him that’s uncalled for. I partially feel sorry for Chris because I’m sure he wants to move past this situation but the matter is DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS A SERIOUS ISSUE. People will NOT forgive and forget that easily. I want to forgive but everytime I look in his face I just see Rihanna’s face and what he did to her. That was fcuked up and I don’t believe him reading to a few school kids is going to change that.
He claims his mother went through it, well he should have known first hand what that ish does to someone. Plus he’s a celeb he should have known he’d have all these consequences to deal with.
What he did was wrong but since I worked in DV, I know that just becuz someone saw their mother be abused it doesn’t automatically help them defer from replicating the behavior. A lot of DV shelters don’t allow adolescent boys in shelter since there is research citing a likelihood of the boys demonstrating some of the aggressive behavior they saw in the home. Social learning theory tells us that people do what they learn such as adolescent sex offenders are likely to have been sexually abused themselves. I think Chris can learn from this incident and I do take into consideration is age.

I’m over the whole situation between him and Rihanna, however his people should realize this would look staged since he just reached out to his fans couple days ago and now he’s reading to kids?
