Actress Zoe Saldana accepts the Most Outstanding Artist Abroad Award at the International Casandra Awards held in the Dominican Republic earlier this week.
Zoe, whose father is from the Dominican Republic, lived there for seven years as a child before returning to New York. She has four films due out this year, including Death at a Funeral next month.

Looking at Zoe and her sisters it is obvious that her father was a dark-skinned man. Can we leave her alone with the race thing now. She has always said that she was a black Dominican woman and she is proud of her entire self as well she should be.

Most Dominicans are black , millions of African slaves were brought there to pick sugar cane. It is a predominately black country . Black Dominicans by far, outnumber the white and indian looking Dominicans.
