Guess who was spotted heading to dinner with a friend earlier this week in Cali? Hint: She was a sitcom star, but hasn’t been seen in many projects since leaving the now defunct show.
It’s actress Jill Marie Jones (best known at Toni from the sitcom ‘Girlfriends’). The 35 year-old was spotted in Hollywood heading out with a friend.
Ever since leaving the series in ’06 (before it got canceled), Jones hasn’t made that many appearances. She appeared in a few low budget movies and one of Ne-Yo’s videos in 2008 though.

She got big headed & decided she was ‘too good’ for the TV role that made her a star…and stopped showing up for work & bad mouthed her writers & costars. Watch her never be in a box office hit again. I, for one, would be thrilled if her arrogance comes back to bite her in the ass. There are many unemployed actresses in Hollywood that would LOVE to take her spot!

I think the skirt is cute. Jill is in Hollywood going thru depression. A male friend I know was dating her for a while. He lived with her and took care of him but she was absusive to him. She drank a lot and took out her frustrations on him…the fact that she isn’t working etc. He finally left her.

She looks good. Too bad black actresses are not appreciated in Hollywood. She made a good decision to leave that show. It was done when she left it. She left not to seek bigger fame for herself, but to boycott the inequalities of the salaries that all four actresses were receiving. Slavery is done and it is time Black folk stop making money for the “corporations” and not getting paid adequately. Compared to “Sex and the City” girls and “Friends” untalented girls, these sista were not paid correctly. If they all had stuck together as Jill tried to do, they would have collectively had the bargaining power to get paid commensurate with the profits of the show and their comedic talents. Learn Black People–we are stronger if we stick together. So in the end she lost and so did the show, because it was awful without her.
