Im not buying that cover. But the trailer did look cute, not even going to lie. It’s just going to be hard believing the “chemistry” between them. Just because they’re “acting” doesn’t mean they’re pulling it off. She’s just too butch to pull off a straight girl in love with a man. I can never buy her romance movies. Paula…may do well if she can get some meaningful roles. Her part in Precious was maybe the worst performance in the movie, Mimi was much more believable than the lesbian with a heart. I’m still trying to see if she’s just a Halley Berry stand in or if she has some acting chops. Good to see her working though, Queen is amazing period. She’s how old and still looks great? She’ll get her Oscar soon enough and Common… After playing the black side kick to John Conner and further destroying an all ready bad Terminator Salvation, he actually seemed OK in this. I always talk shit about Erica Badu sticking her glowing ET finger in his ass and turning him into a fruit. But he looked like this might be a good role. I’ll take my grandmother to see it when it comes out;

I absolutely can’t wait to see this. I love Queen, Common and Paula. Good to see black films with great quality. And I think Common is a really good actor. He has come a long way. He get’s better with each film and that’s all that matters.

It looks like a cute movie and I will go see it, but it is extremely disappointing that this “trailer” was a summarized version of the entire plot from start to finish – there will be no mystery whatsoever when I do watch it. I hate it when they do that with trailers…if it were me I would have shortened it to when Common’s character met Paula Patton’s character and was interested then cut to when Latifah’s character becomes his rehabilitation coach – end of trailer. Leave us with a little mystery…geez romantic comedies are predictable enough as it is.

Nothing against those two movies b/c they’re classics and have paved the ay for the Just Wright’s and Why Did I Get Married’s but this is so exciting being able to see us as normal, successful, working people looking for love like everyone else. This is super exciting black people and we must support these movies. The more support we lend the more major movie houses keep making them. They’re only going to make movies that are going to make them money. So what we show interest in is what they show interest in. Keep doing your thing black people. I love yall!
