Check out the new video from Atlanta native Nivea featuring her ex and baby daddy rapper Lil Wayne. The song is entitled “Love Hurts” and you may remember our post on it last month, however the video provides a new remix version of the track.
Nivea’s new album is tentatively titled, Purple Heart and will be her latest release since 2006’s Animalistic, which was only released in Japan. Check out some photos from the set below and more here.

The budget of the video was low, but it wasn’t half as bad as some of the major lable videos. I could of done without Lil Wayne but he is her baby daddy (so ghetto, the whole situation is) so him helping her out was a nice thing to do, I mean he is one of the “hottest” rappers around right? *shrugs*
Yes she has gain weight, she has had four children. She is not 19 or 20 anymore she is like 26 or 27 a woman’s body changes after children and in general once you start to get older.
With all the money Lil Wayne has, he could not hook Nivea up with a professional Videographer and Stylist? After all, that is her baby father!

I hate and love that she used Brandy’s I Tried ad libs. I love that she did it because Brandy’s ad-libs in “I Tried” are a beast but i hate it because the song would of been better if she did something original. there was too much going on with her voice but overall good song but the video sucks.

I like Nivea and I’m glad she doin her own thing independently. The industry isn’t really promised, that’s why a lot of artists that were once on the map have since fell off. So she refused to accept the fact that she didn’t want to sign a 360 deal with a major label, where they would half-ass promote her project. Thus, she decided to release her own album independently like, Rasheeda, Kandi Burruss, etc…Can’t be mad at her. She’s still doing her own thing. I wish a lot of other artists would go that rout.

I don’t think the song is all that. After being away for so long, I thought she would have come a bit stronger.
Secondly, the video was terrible. I’m not sure who is responsible for it but it needs to be re-done. You can’t be gone for so long and expect your fans to embrace that crap
