Solange leaked a new song on her blog Friday to hold fans over until the release of her new album, which she’s been diligently working on in between DJ gigs.
She claims the album will NOT include the song and has given no word on when she’ll release it, but she says that her third project will pick up where her track, “This Bird”, left off.
In related news, Solange was recently named a new face of Rimmel London. She tweeted on Friday: “This year is gonna be awesomery for me, New Album, New Label and New Face of Rimmel ”

I LOVE solange, she is a breath of fresh air after you have been drowning the ocean. She is so real, and doesnt let her sister’s image dictate hers. She is strong, can relate to being a single teen mother. @35- people “box” artist in a certain category to define artist and the genre i.e. country song of the year, fav. duo of the year etc. solange came out and did r&b and now she’s reaching for something else. stick to something and practice the craft stop switching it around. michael jordan played bball for how many years before switching to baseball? and that was fine because he skilled his craft. solange needs to do the same in my opinion. I listened to the song & read the comments and I have to agree with most comments on here the song is not worthy of radio play.

3. Regardless of if she is what you personally like, Solange is extremely talented in her own right. She writes nearly all of her lyrics, and her songs build and have progression. She to me is a musician, and what more people today should strive to be.

It is a tough mountain for Solange to climb. She has this bigger than life sister with 16 grammys with a husband with his own stack of grammys, she bankrolled the family on her talent, she has tons of endorsements and because the mom is part of the business, she is with Bey more than Solange. Solange messed up by not doing the right things early. She did the wrong things early: she got pregnant, then she got married because she was pregnant which is no surprise as to why she divorce shortly after. Her career had to many road blocks in the way to give it that spark. She is talented vocally, but boring. The interest in her comes as a result of comparing her to her sister and that’s no contest. In her efforts to be unbeyonced, she comes off a little desperate. She has a wonderful family and hopfully that gives her strength and comfort. Hopefully she will find her place rightfully in the music world.
Solange is so into her craft and I love this track! she is so deep when it comes to her lyrics. Sol-angel and the Hadley St. Dreams was a classic album!

I am a huge Beyonce fan but by me being such a big fan I don’t diminish other artists’ talents.
