Solange leaked a new song on her blog Friday to hold fans over until the release of her new album, which she’s been diligently working on in between DJ gigs.
She claims the album will NOT include the song and has given no word on when she’ll release it, but she says that her third project will pick up where her track, “This Bird”, left off.
In related news, Solange was recently named a new face of Rimmel London. She tweeted on Friday: “This year is gonna be awesomery for me, New Album, New Label and New Face of Rimmel

Love her and the new track. I still can’t turn off her take on “Stillness Is The Move”. I listen to it damn near everyday, lol. I love the fact that she’s so different that she kinda makes her own genre of music. I wish her all the best and will definitely be copping the new album.
She covers a few of her songs, but I like her style of music and vocals. Cant wait for her new CD

Wow. Well most ppl have already said what I am thinking. Some of you are really very ignorant and have stuck yourselves in a box. the first album Solange did was “R&B” because at the time she was under her father and that’s what they tried to push. It flopped. She then switched to Geffen and they ley her be a bit more free artistically which is what she wanted. And that album was a good mix of LOTS of styles of music it was not just R&B so whoever thinks so. Listen to the whole album. She has now left Geffen as far as I last heard and signed with an unknown label because she is growing as an artist and needed more creative freedom. She has that now. I hate when fans comment on who she is or what type of person she is when they obviously don’t watch interviews or performances by her. Solange listens to mostly indie artists. Ie: grizzly bear,, dirty projectors and so on she has said herself she hardly listens to R&B anymore because its not what it used to be. Tral R&B gets shunned and hip hip has become a platform for Tom foolery. This song is dope as the rest of her msuic is. And for the idiot that said its not radio worthy of course it isn’t she didn’t MAKE it for that. She has made her place in the industry. She has a good fan base of real fans with acquired taste for music and artistry. She had to drop this song just to satisfy the thousands of tweets daily she gets from her fans who are itching for new music and a new album by her so what does that tell u? She is repected amongst her peers and she knows who she is that is why she’s able to make the music she makes because that’s who she is and if u can’t get with it don’t listen to it. “If u don’t like it. Its one thing to say, that she is different, than to say, she is being to far off her level. Everyone has a free will to do as they wish. The song takes you away, almost like a quick vacation. Stop being so judgmental. You dont like it, then go to another site, or change the song your listening to because she still has fans, and of course hatters..lol the one’s that take the time to post there negativity…go ahead SOLANGE!!!!!
