Why is everyone complaining about winning with that role? This was a movie financed, written, and directed by black folks and it was very well recognized by the Academy. The truth is the movie had a great impact and it showed. Plus, just because someone is black does not mean that they would have played that role like she did. This role was meant for Mo’nique!

Gabourey shoulda won not Mo nique. Gabby was the 1 who carried the movement. That pitiful speech @ the end mary gave didnt make me feel sorry , i was and still am angry for how she treated her daughter and granddaughter.
