The only issue i have with Jay, and have had for a few years is that, by him being an older cat whose in the game, i think he could and should use his success as a tool to motivate other youngsters striving to make their dreams a reality. Not that he’s obliged to do so, it’s just that he’s in the position to do so. Instead of rapping about how much of this and that i’ve got, what designer he’s wearing and frivolous shit like that, i think if he was more humble in his raps and talked about how it’s possible for even “You” to obtain these things then he would be a for sure fan favorite all across the board. I am a die-hard Beyonce fan;but she missed the mark in apperance. This was a professional setting; not a video shoot.
Jay-Z is a minority owner in this venture, as all these black celebrity owners are. They are made part and parcel of the venture so that they can be trotted out like pet monkeys in staged events like this. Jay-Z is “co-owner” of the Nets like Usher is “co-owner” of the Cavaliers….basically pet n*ggers with courtside seats and a 5 cent investment on the dollar.
