Kelly Rowland finally drops the new single from her upcoming third studio album.
“Commander,” produced by David Guetta and written by Rico Love will lead Kelly’s new album, which will contain productions from Jim Jonsin and Rico Love, as well as more productions for the popular DJ who produced the lead single.
Kelly’s third album is presently untitled has no solid release date.
This sound like a typical electro/pop song. Not real dance music at all.
Kelis is the only mainstream artist who is making real dance music and making great dance music at that. Kelly need to stop trying so hard and do her.

All these people saying Kelly has found her niche are delusional because Kellly tried to sing R&B and POP but could not cut it! Anytime an artist goes Dance Techno it is because the suck in the U.S and has exhausted all other possibilities! It is funny how artist like Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna and Alicia Keys can sell out arenas in America, Europe and other countries but Kelly and her kind can’t even fill up a club in neither country but yet her delusional fans want people with common sense to believe that she is some big power house internationally…LOL! And by the way, Mr. David Guetta needs to step his producer game up because he sucks…he has the same simple drum sound on every song! When this techno trend vanishes because contrary to belief it will not be that popular…what will Kelly and other non successful artists like her who are trying to market their music towards the gays do then? This song is totally garbage and my opinion has nothing to do with being a hoodrat because Kelly ain’t no suburban queen for those of you who don’t know!

at first I was excited to hear the song because I heard the chorus on that youtube video of her performing it. when I listened to it last night I was mad ass hell and let the fuck down I so mad at kelly because the song didn’t sound as epic as i thought it was I kept wanting to like it so i kept playing it feeling let down again and again until this morning I finally played the song and cut it up as loud as my computer speakers could go and this shit is EPIC!!!!

i hated “when love takes over” but i LOVE this. i feel like i haven’t heard good techno in a while aside from “sexy chick” and a couple of other songs. i guess all of the good tracks don’t make it here to america? i mean i look for music online so idk but this is a great move for kelly. american radios will like this b/c they already play dance music (gaga, “disturbia”, kesha). i mean 103.5 will love it and i think z100 will too. isn’t that all you need.

I actually like this song, this may put Kelly back into the running. If this were Beyonce yelling on the track most you drones would love it and so on, but everytime someone comes out with music its not good enough. Coming from NYC, our top 40 radio (Z100) will definitely play this. They played the crap out of When Loves Takes Over and played Sexy Bitch to death. Sexy Bitch did pretty well in America for being techno and this is pretty close to a female version, urban-type lyrics with dance production. I don’t think this is a song just for the gay crowd in the states, whoever quoted Jersey was on the money, the guidos will be fist pumping to this. Europe’s out of the question they’ll eat this up. She left her urban fans and I can’t really blame her, she gets not love from them. And she made pretty crappy R&B music, whoever called it cheap was right. Her debut had some cheap-ass sounding music, Ms. Kelly did too and those videos for that CD were pathetic. Besides Dance is getting hot in America now, and I think it’s becoming the sound pop singers are clinging to instead of Urban. Hell look at trend-biters like Madonna, she’s done trying to rap, she’s working with Guetta now. This is a smart move for America too- if you were in a club, black, white, gay, straight with a drink your hand on the dance floor, you’d dance to this.

I think this will do better overseas than here, and if it does, clearly more for the Pop crowd cause I can’t see Urban radio playing this unless the beat is slowed down and there is a rapper on it. No offense to Kelly, but she is not the total package. She has the pipes but that’s about it. Her image is whack and whoever she is working with now needs to emphasize to the public that she is her own person and not in Destiny’s Child’s or Beyonce’s shadow, that she can hold her own. Musically I think she needs to reintroduce herself with something less busy and beat driven, and focus more on her strength as a vocalist. I wish her the best nonetheless.
