Of course people are still going to listen to their music – that’s how people determine whether or not they like the artist or not. There are artists out there that I didn’t like at first but after listening to new material by them I started liking them.
I don’t like Nicki and even though I know I’ll never like her I still listen to her just to see if anything has changed, what she’s come up with etc.

The bottom line here is that they (the lables, radio programmers) have watered down hip hop so much that there is no hip hop anymore, theres barely any R&B anymore, its all pop. So they maybe royalty but they are pop royalty not hip hop.
