I like most of what I hear from Drake and I like him.. he will be around for a while… Minaj is just the flavor of the month.. nothing special there. She seems intelligent in her interviews but she doesnt really care about her artform… I guess after your hear Lauryn Hill spit “manifest” “how many mics” and “watch out for babylon” it is hard to take female rappers like Minaj seriously… but good luck to her anyway.

Nikki Nikki, now I’m gonna say it at first I really didn’t like her even so I still don’t think she hot like that. Only time I like what she doing is when she on someone else record. I’mma continue to listen and see what all the hypes about I’m willing to give it a chance but plz plz she not rap royalty yet. No No thats to much props. Its certain artist lyrics you will always remember no matter how much time pass and hers not it yet. Is it just me or does Drake look like our President. Helluva photoshop Artist working on that pic. As for these two rappers, Lil’ Wayne did the right thing by signing these two. They are likable artists with the “LOOK” that people want to see.. This has been missing in the game for some time now. As far as skill, they not the GREATEST THAT EVER WALKED THE FACE OF HIP-HOP, but they could be. They are well on their way if the drive persists and if the streets still want to see them 5 years from now. Nicki is no Foxy or Kim where you coming out the gates BLAZING everything you spit, but she’s decent, so far. But don;t put a crown on the heads of these emcees just yet. They still gotta work, and get some things under their belts first, before we see a new Prince and Princess of Hip-Hop. I like these two, though. No Biggie and Foxy B, no Jigga and Kim yet, but good works in progress…

I kno’ that Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne are 90% of the time on radio, I agree with the person who said just becuz, ure songs gets played on radio doesn’t really mean that ure song is all that, it’s just livin’ off the hype a majority of the time. But like I said I like Nicki Minaj, but truthfully 2 me, she’s a punchline rapper, not really a lyrical rapper, now if u look at Eve, Missy Elliot, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, etc… they are rappers. Drake is a talent, he barely makes a bad song, and he’s very articulate in his interviews, while as Nicki Minaj, when she speaks, I sometimes feel that she uses kinda fake standoffish voice a little bit. maybe i’m wrong, but the last interview I heard when she was bein’ interviewed by these 2 guys, she seemed kinda bougie like she’s the shit. But we’ll see, time will tell of how far Drake & Nicki Minaj will go.

There sure are alotta people that have negative things to say.. but my thing is I respect most of the Artist that come out… because most of them came from some sort of struggle and it’s good to see people live out their dreams.
I don’t take the Artists too seriously though.. That’s where I think alotta shyt is phucked up with the whole hip-hop culture cuz we start actually trying to be like the people we adore seeing and listening to instead of just enjoying the ART that they produce and RECOGNIZING that may just be a character or persona they display to make money… AND could be a totally different person in reality.

I really can’t stand this ghetto a** bubblegum, degrading hip-hop/rap music but I think that people are being a bit hard on Nicki and Drake. People say that Nicki looks stank and that she has a fake body and fake nose but look at Kim Kardashian, Cassie, Ciara, Kelly Rowland, Janet Jackson…ect all of them have had either a nose job, breast implants, or butt implants and I don’t hear people keep on bashing them constantly about it. Plus Beyonce is always sweaty and tranny looking onstage and looks like she stinks and Rihanna is always half naked onstage and in magazines and looks like she smells like fish, but I don’t read any comments about them looking like they smell bad. Surgery or not, Nicki is pretty, she just doesn’t carry herself well. I like her unique tone of voice, but she messes it up when she rhymes weirdly. She needs to keep it simple and flattering. Drake, he sounds so damn ghetto and uneducated/ignorant when he raps! I can’t stand his rap voice but his singing voice is very nice. Nicki has a nice singing voice as well. I think that both of them need to find their voice and clean up their image, and then they would be okay.
