Lots of artists have great careers and have never gone platinum. (Common, Mos Def, ect.) Besides she’s had hits here and overseas. She’s been doing it for 11 years so she must be doing something right. Her newest song is about to be huge in the UK, which debuted at no. 6 on the UK single charts and she got a no.1 here on the Dance Charts. She’s doing great. She’s a single mom doing her OWN thing.

Interscope is clearly covering the budget, but I guess it makes people feel like they’re doing something by bringing up Nas lol. Pathetic losers.

I have all of Kelis Albums, and love them…She has never been a big seller, so I dont know what the deal is about her “flopping”.Hell by some standards, who isn’t “flopping” these days. I’m sure her overseas sells will keep her cashflow coming in.

When an artist is unsuccessful their stans always try to make them out to be some kind of creative artist when in actuality they have no talent and no ability to even sing in tune! Kelis will always be a 1 hit wonder internationally and domestically. Kelis is washed up, used up and a wanna be GAGA REJECT! Interscope is spending her budget trying to capture her as futuristic and they will not recoup the lost and will eventually drop her like every other label has done to Kelis in the past. No one wants a 30 year old trying to be futuristic artist and the consumers do not believe her new found image either.
