After pretty much keeping the music under wraps, Ciara finally gives us a taste of her first single, “Ride,” featuring longtime friend and collaborator, Ludacris.
Ciara announced a while back that for her fourth upcoming studio LP, Basic Instinct, she would be working exclusively with The Dream & Tricky Stewart, which has sort of been a trend this past year (see: Mariah Carey’s Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel and Electrik Red’s How To Be A Lady: Volume 1).
In any event, no release date has been confirmed for the new project, but let’s hope it doesn’t suffer as many delays as last year’s Fantasy Ride did.
the song isnt a number one but she needs to get people to listen to her ….. with this and speechless she has my ear i luv my RiRi and Beyonce ..but CiCi aint giving up just yet i actually liked Fantasy Ride she just dropped the wrong singles anyway im so ready

ok ciara i like the song and its very catchy boo but cum on gurl me and you should know this is not club banger or a number 1 hit on the radio or on the cd. so i hope u cum out with something else and also go in the studio with polo or pharell or timbo or sum big time producers cus i dnt knw wut the tricky and the dream are doing. they made it seem like u were cuming out to smash these bitches on the sharts but this aint good enough to knock beyonce or lady gaga boo so bring us something to make us dance and feel sexy and hype at the same time

and also the beat is wack it dnt have no feeling to it it sit in one spot and never changes so cici please bring us the same lyrics with a better beat and ur voice sounds good
When will these artists learn? They need to leave The Dream and Tricky ALONE! That’s why MC’s fans were so pissed about the failure of both her albums, MC=2 and the most recent failure – the name of the album escapes me. Ciara should have known better, smh. Hopefully her label will pick a hot single next time…
I like this song…. But it does not go harder than half the songs she had on her first album…. Or the 1st song she had with Ludacris.

I been a fan since day1.
I think most people that know music agree that the beat doesn’t help the song at all. It’s so blah and unchanging during the whole song. I thought it was just me but seems like other people see it to. I can only image what someone like timberland or danja or someone could have done with the beat for this song! The lyrics are on point, vocals are hypnotic and pretty, rap is great but the beat is horrid!
I swear, you Ciara fanatics are delusional, immature, and have anger issues! It’s funny because that’s all that you can say is that people are haters! This song is boring as hell and very nasty! The lyrics aren’t all there in your face, but they are a bit graphic and definitely too sexual. How embarrassing for her pastor, parents, grandparents and other family members to hear this. She’s a poor example of a young “woman” in the music industry. She tries so hard to prove that she’s so sexy and a freak when in reality, she’s making herself out to be easy, desperate, and pathetic. Plus she looks like a man and has the body shape of a WMBA player! Her last album was a flop, her album before that didn’t even go double platinum… she’s fallen off and no matter how many “hater” comments there are, she will always be for the ghetto wannabe sexy crowd. Mainstream doesn’t give too sh**s about her.
This track is aight. Luda makes it HOT to me. Don’t get me wrong Ciara’s part is cool, but I was expecting better. Still can’t wait to see the video.

Ciara had a really good and strong beginning but with each day she’s fading. I blame the a young fanbase gained with her debut album (including myself, I was a freshman in college at the time). Unfortunately her fanbase is older and some of us are more mature. Don’t get me wrong; the song is not bad. It has a nice mellow beat but her vocals are typical Ciara and overall it just isn’t great. I only wish her sound would mature because she hasn’t impressed me since ’05 and that was like 5 years ago LOL! Get it together sweetie but hope I still have faith you can return the heat!
I think that the Artist who sing about sex Are the ones that are not good at it… So I guess there are a lot of guys with small things and a lot of girls who cant take a hit.
