American Idol winner turned reality star, Fantasia has finally chosen a lead single from her forthcoming third studio album.
We got a taste of her new material with her track, “Even Angels,” but now she reveals to us her first official single, “Bittersweet.”
Although there is a new single in place, no other solid information has been released about the album. News of a release date and album title have been said to drop within the week, but fans are excited for the follow-up to Fantasia’s 2006 self-titled album.

I love Fantasia’s voice and music. R&B is definitely her lane. I like the song but I have to agree with #3 Nygiel, the song reminds me of Melanie Fiona’s “It Kills Me”

I can dig it! I like this song. Well-suited for Fantasia’s unique voice. It’s very controlled and somewhat understated , but that’s what makes it great. A more subdued side of Fantasia. We all know she can flex those vocal chops, but this is a really deconstructed side of her that I like. You can hear the emotion behind it. Good job! Slow seems to be the way to go for a lead single for RnB ladies. It worked for Monica and I can bet money it will work for Fantasia.
I didn’t like it at first, but after a few listens, it has grown on me. The song is nice.

This is a wonderful selection for first single. This is were Tasia really shine I hated “Hood Boy” but was deeply infatuated with “When I See U”. She is a a great artist wish her the best with her upcoming project’s.
BTW can’t wait for Fantasia For Real season 2.

Sounds WAAAY to much like Melanie Fiona “if it kills me” which sounds better. I’m still checking for Tasia….maybe the song will grow on me.

Nice song, nice beat (that’s all)….It’s definitely not a strong first single in my opinion! They are gonna have to PROMOTE PROMOTE PROMOTE to get this song to chart, and we know Fantasia’s promotion team SUCKS ASS when it comes to her (who knew she even had an album about to drop?). The beat does kinda draw you into the song after a few listens…so who knows? I hope she does well with this upcoming project!

I absolutely love this and don’t think it sounds any thing like Melanie Feona’s song. I just love this girl and can’t wait to hear the entire album. I sure hope Ax You is on there and the other old school groove that was given to her first that she killed on the show. This should be a really good record for Fantasia.
If anything, this song reminds me of a combination of Truth Is and Free Yourself… I love it!
