♫ Kelis – 22nd Century
Kelis has been in the news lately for more than her music. However, these two new tracks from her upcoming album, Flesh Tone are sure to redirect fans’ attention.
The first of the tracks is “22nd Century,” produced by Freeschool.
♫ Kelis – 4th of July
Next up is the DJ Ammo-produced song, “4th of July.” From the response that Kelis has gotten from her mixtape, the video and live performances of her current single, “Acapella,” fans are digging what Kelis will bring this time around on Flesh Tone, which will hit stores July 6th.

lol at these people ”its repetitive etc..” duh thats what techno is about, its fly. youre probably the type of people who still talk ”crunk” and the whole monica r&b music thing blegh. to each their own but this is way better to me than listen to monica and her weird vibrato voice.
I actually am really feelin these. I really like the first track this is kinda new territory for her though. I mean she dabbled in pop but never to this extent and I have her albums.
I LOVE BOTH OF THE SONGS
THEY ARE HOT AND FRESH
GO KELIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I so hate it- ewwwwwwww no wonder she was so hell bent on taking nas money- this ish will not be selling and I seriously doubt anyone I know will be purchasing this garbage-
P.S – a singer should as least know how to do one thing…… SING!! smdh
her voice is so husky- LMAO
she sounds like she just smoked a ton of cigerattes- lol
This CD is going to MURDA Europe and the gay US circuit and that’s where the $ bills are. Very smart move for someone who really isn’t that talented vocally.
channelxonr, you’re wrong about that one! Many white people don’t even know or remember who Kelis is! TRUE Dance-Techno music like this, usually FAILS! You have to be a white European star with a good publicist, in order for your album that consists of strictly Dance-Techno music, to do well. There are hundreds of thousands of albums like this that are only targeted to a small crowd.
This music isn’t really something that you can dance you a** off too and is definitely not radio friendly. It’s really something for a certain crowd to listen to. Another example is heavy metal, how many heavy metal songs are on the radio? None. The music is too loud, angry, and grungy. This type of music does fit Kelis’ voice, since she’s all about tone rather than vocals, and fits the vibe she’s giving off, but it’ll most likely be another flop. “Acapella” is beautiful, catchy, and upbeat, so that is why it’ll do well overseas, but I can’t see the same thing happening for songs like these.
I LOVE 4th of july but the other one i can pass on..oh and acapella was good too.
I like both songs vs. the other song she recently put out. 22nd Century is the one I like best and will probably own.
I LOVE KELIS AND I HAVE BEEN A FAN SINCE THE 1ST ALBUM. YES, SHE HAD STYLE AND WAS EDGY WAAAAY BEFORE THE LIKES OF RIHANNA, GAGA, SOLANGE OR ANYONE ELSE…
HOWEVER,
22ND CENTURY:
“WELCOME TO THE 22ND CENTURY…NEW WORLD…RELIGION SCIENCE FICTION TECHNOLOGY”
4TH OF JULY:
“I’M BRAND NEW… RENAME ME… I’VE BEEN CHANGED”
COME ON, WHY CAN’T THESE PEOPLE JUST WALK AWAY FROM IT ALL. JUST DECIDE “I RATHER STAY TRUE TO MYSELF AND KEEP MY SOUL RATHER THAN PROMOTE YOUR AGENDA”
