Considering that both of them just released an album, it’s interesting that a collaboration between Usher and Robin Thicke is just now surfacing.

Interesting collaboration. This definitely has an old school beat/feel to it, but I’m not sure. I haven’t heard the original so I don’t have that to compare it to, but the beat doesn’t seem to be cohesive, or match the vocals. And who was that at the end?
i saw somewhere else it was supposed to be tevin campbell..its not bad..i just think some songs need not be remade…this is one of them…they dont sound bad tho
Even though I was a tot when the first one came out, it just doesn’t sound as good as the original, which kind of sucks because they had the vocal talent of both Usher and Robin, but the production was just off. I don’t know what Quincy was on when he produced this version, but whatever it is he needs to puff and pass already. Instead of opting for the synthetic background they should have done live instruments.

The first 40 seconds were great until they added that techno beat or whatever you call it in there. I was feeling it up until then. But it doesn’t surprise me though, because usher been fell off after his Confessions album.
You should never mess with perfection, this is a no-no.
Better yet, how about writing some good music that doesn’t involve fake beats, sex, and cars and leave the masterpieces alone. The last thing we need is for the industry to mess up the classics too. Note to the Industry: Stick to the mess that you have already created and leave We Are The World, Strawberry Letter 23, and Secret Garden alone. Sigh, I can’t wait for real music and talent to return. I truly hope this cycle of garbage is almost over.
