After getting canceled by the CW last year, The Game will be back on your television screens with all new episodes. BET officially announced the news Wednesday (April 14) in a press release:
By popular demand, BET answers the prayers of fans everywhere. New episodes of THE GAME will be produced by and air exclusively on BET. After enjoying record ratings in syndication, THE GAME, created by Mara Brock Akil and executive produced by Kelsey Grammer and Salim Akil, will follow the lives of the fictitious San Diego Sabres–and the women who love them. SCHEDULED TO PREMIERE 4Q 2010
No word on if the FULL CAST will be returning, let’s just hope BET doesn’t mess the show up. We know how they do.

I’m extremely happy about this. Hopefully BET lets the writer do what she wants and they truly don’t mess it up. I can’t lie I was skeptical about it being on BET, but I will give it a shot. Now if only the Boondocks could last a couple more seasons. I’m uber sad about this being the final season, after only 3 seasons of the cartoon. smh

I believe nothing is changing about the show except the network its shown on (BET)…i believe the same writers will continue to write as they have been ..The CW has no control over a writer..if a show is cancelled a writer can very well leave with the show..so hopefully all the cast remains the same although i hear the bald guy(4get his name) may not be returning because he’s scheduled to be on a new series? idk how true that is but if so lets hope we can work around that aye?

Work and school had me so busy I wasn’t able to watch.
I know Derwin cheated and Mel went crazy and tried to sleep with Malik. The white chick (forgot her name) and her hubby are separating and neither wants to tell their daughter….that’s all I know.
I’m a huge ‘Game’ fan. I am cautiously optimistic. We’ll see how BET does…I *really* hope they don’t screw it up!!!

@Khinje umm its way past that now. Last episode of the show Derwin and Melanie got married. Janae had Derwin’s baby. Kelly and Jason got divorced. They both started dating other people jason is dating Stacy Dash and Kellly was dating this dude named Roman. Jason fought Roman and got arrested for it. Kelly stuck by him but he went back with Stacy Dash. Kelly punched Tasha out. Tasha was gettin back with Rick Fox.

OMG that is so exciting!! I’ve been trying to get my fix watching these re-runs but it’s not working anymore!! I hope the whole cast returns and that it is as good as it was before!
i want to be excited but i have a feeling the show’s gonna go downhill… BET finds a way to ruin everything and this shouldn’t be any different. it’s prob not gonna be the same exact cast (i heard Derwin already announced he won’t return and that he’s been replaced with Tia’s husband, Cory Hardrict) and im prob not gonna be into the show like i used to.

Here we go again. I will believe this when I see it. This rumor has been going on since the game got cancelled. If it does come back on I think it will not be the same….however I luv luv The Game!
Hopefully, they’ll leave the show the way it was and not change any of the characters, writers or story lines.

Cant lie. Wasnt exactly ecstatic when i first heard it was becoming to BET a couple of months ago, but i guess beggers cant be choosy lol. I absolutely LOVE The Game and was very pissed that they were so quick to cancel such a good show. Im with all the people who are hoping that BET doesnt mess it up. Hopefully BET will just be the “outlet” but everything else will stay the same.
Regarding the actual storyline of the show: i wonder if now that the show has been picked up again, do they regret marrying derwin and melanie. I think they only married them because it was techinally “the end” of the show.

This is really good news. I hear “Jason” played by Coby Bell will most likely now be a recurring character. I really hope this show doesn’t change now that it’s on BET. I’m going to wait and see before I pass any judgement though.

Lol the rumors on here are crazy but I read on Pooch Halls twitter that pretty much all of the main characters including him are returning but the actor who plays Jason may just be a recurring character instead of a main character so that he can do both shows. They do still have the same writers though. i think the only thing that will change is the cursing won’t be on there much.
