Check out some exclusive screen caps from Maxwell’s upcoming “Fistful of Tears” video that will be premiering on Wednesday, April 14th. The video was shot by director Phil Andelman, who also directed the video for “Pretty Wings.”
In related news, Maxwell will perform on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” on April 20th and NBC’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno on April 22nd. His tour with Jill Scott starts in May and Erykah Badu is set to open up for him on June 26.

I know he sings a special song for Haiti, his grandmother’s birth country. I cant think of the name of the song right now but its a beautiful song.
i like his choice of female openers and its good that he looks to be getting different female RnB artists on his tour. There is somethin to be said about variety.

Now I remember. He sung this song ‘Fistful of Tears’ on Oprah. It was a special show for Haiti. Wyclef Jean and Rihanna performed songs for Haiti too. Fistful of Tears Maxwell sung very soulful and emotional. It also took on a very sombre tone b/c of the recent Haiti disaster.
I cant wait to see the video. it ought to be awesome. I haven’t been watching Dancing with the Stars this time b/c I dont care for the lineup, but I sure will take a close up seat @ home with popcorn handy for Maxwell’s performance.
Why does Badu need to open for him? She is successful enough to do her own stuff. Anyway, look forward to the video. I was hoping he would release “Cold” as a single, it has such pizazz to it. Hopefully I can catch the tour when it hits the Chi’ too.

grown folks music, real music! Maxwell brought it home man. Went to the concert in Toronto in September and even with a sore throat he still performed his ass off, and the band was amazing. I appreciate his music and am happy Jill Scott and Erykah are on this. I just might have to go again! Seen Jill and Erykah for the Ladies First tour a while back and they were amazing as well.
