Everything about this performance screamed Whitney. From her stance, to her hand and head jestures, to her falsettos, to her overall vocal performance and vocal phrasing. Looks like Mo studied Whitney well. For all of you younger folks, who knows nothing about Whitney back in the day and even now, this performance summed it up, but with less range and power. Go Monica!

Just because are excited about Monica’s comeback and her perserverence does not mean we have forgotten but its her past that actually makes us (or at least me!) appreciate her soooo f****king much right now! I love that she went through all of that immaturity and actually grew from that and look at her now…Just because she likes a thug type dude..so what? I do enjoy Monica and all her successes. Being a strong single-parent must be tough, but she is a fighter just like most single-mothers in America. You have to love her, she is a class act.

This performance was booty! She sounds hoarse and stuffed up! Not to mention that she changed the key. It’s a lot lower than the album and when she has sung the song before.
Ya’ll better give it up for Monica! Yeah it was pitchy in some areas in the beginning but she corrected it. And how can you say that it was emotionless, ya’ll don’t know what ya’ll talking bout AS USUAL. That is a very hard song to sing, with hardly any backing vocals. ITS ALL HER, TRUE R&B. Great job Monica. Great CD.
