This isn’t the first time Brandy has recorded a track before someone else got a hold of it. Seems like The Dream may have originally intended for Jennifer Lopez’s “buzz” single, “Louboutins” to be on one of Brandy’s forthcoming projects.
Shortly after the release of J. Lo’s track, she was released from her contract, but is said to have inked a new deal with Def Jam, so we may hear her upcoming project, Love? after all.
Brandy is busy promoting her new reality show Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business, which airs April 11th on VH1, as well as working on her follow-up to 2008′s Human with Timbaland, and The Dream.
We all know we dont even have to listen to the tracks to know that Brandy sings it better..

I so agree with #6. The song itself is so horrible and Brandy’s voice is waaaaaay too good for it, therefore J.Lo actually does sound better with this. It actually sounds like Brandy has to dumb down her pipes for this. Otherwise, Brandy’s voice is BANANAS…even when she’s singin in her bathroom!

Overall I like Jennifer’s sound better. Now I am a Brandy fan but Jen’s has a better sound. This is the second or third time that Jennifer used a song that was supposed to be for Brandy. The other was Ryde or Die. Brandy is the better singer, matter of fact Brandy is on her way to being a sanger and Jen is a singer. However again I say Jen sang it better here, the background vocals are what push her ahead of Brandy. Brandy sounds flat when she has to sing normal background vocals that are heavily processed.

I LOVE both Jennifer and Brandy and own ALL of their cds. That being said, Jennifer was a WHOLE lot better and I expected Brandy to blow Jennifer out of the water on this but Brandy’s version is too OVERLY-PRODUCED. As for Jennifer, we all know that she is NOT the best singer, but she has never claimed to be, she can hold her own but thats about it.
Jennifer’s voice is too thin and painless to be taken seriously… pain like dude told the cat in the 5 Heartbeats. Like Smokey Robinson said, her voice doesn’t have any “know”. Compared to Brandy she is older, but it’s like she doesn’t have anything to convey, you can’t feel her. I’ll say it like this, Jennifer does music for money… if money wasn’t coming in she’d be finding something else to put in the place of music. Brandy sing cause that’s her shit, if she didn’t make money off of it I guarantee you you’d see her on stage open mic night at Apache Cafe’ downtown Atlanta cause that’s her shit, she mean it when she sing. Sorry, but as much as I love Brandys voice, something is not right in this song. Did she use auto-tune or something, cos her voice sounds flat and robotic compared 2 J-Lo, listen to the start of Brandys version, I’m surprised she had to use these effects on her voice. As for J-Lo, her version is OK, but there is nothing special about her or the song in general. It would have flopped for Brandy too, I garantee, its just too crap to be a hit. Its a good job Brandy lost this song as its too easy for her and she sounds like she isn’t trying on the vocals. One song Brandy should have kept was Goodnight GoodMorning ft.
