Rapper Young Jeezy and his Street Dreamz Foundation gave out gifts to students who did well on their State Mandated test this past weekend.

On my side I always kept it 100 and I ain't never give it to nobody that didn't have it coming ... also asked the Mayback Music honcho if he's be willing to work with Jeezy in the future. His response can be assumed as "No," but he stated ...
Alley Boy Gives The “Middle Finger” To T.I. And Young Jeezy

Did he lose some weight?–he looks a little better but still unattractive and why the heck does he have to spells DREAMS with a Z..ugh-just have to ghetto-fy things.
Wow, that’s good.
He looks like he lost weight .. he looks different.
its the hair on his face
@ #1 – well “Street Dreamz” looks better than “Street Dreams” .. it’s better than spelling everything correctly.
JEEZY FOR SOME REASON IS LOOKING GOOD, LIKE EWWWEE.
BUT KUDOS TO HIM WITH HIS OFFERINGS
Heavily tatooed Rappers who sag and wear their hats turned backwards should just mail the donations or give the gifts to the church and avoid direct contact with the children. The boy in the last picture is already throwing up signs like he belongs to the 23rd St. crips.
This is the type of news I like to see. Good Job Jeezy giving back to the community. Something positive that those kids will remember as they grow up. We need more stories like this. Sidenote: Jeezy lose weight and looks buff. You GO Boy (in my Gina from martin voice) lol
Nice to see press of someone doing good and giving back. This is a good look!
Its good to see somebody giving back to the community without wanting recognition or handouts from fans in return! Good Job Jeezy!
**** REALLY?? THIS MAN HAS GIVEN TIME AND MONEY TO SHOW THOSE KIDS THAT SOMEBODY CARES ABOUT THEIR EDUCATION AND APPRECIATES THEIR EFFORTS AT RAISING THEIR TEST SCORES AND YA’LL DUMB A.S.S.E.S TALK ABOUT HIS CLOTHES AND HOW HE LOOKS? IF YOU PUT AS MUCH EFFORT INTO YOUR COMMUNITY AS YOU DID POSTING YOUR BUNCH OF NOTHING- WE MIGHT SEE YOU ON HERE ONE DAY IN A POSITIVE POST.
BACK ON TOPIC….(SHEW!) I APPLAUD HIM AND THE CHILDREN. YOU NEVER KNOW WHICH MOMENT IS THE TURNING POINT IN SOMEONE’S LIFE BUT I HOPE AT LEAST FOR ONE CHILD- THIS IS IT. YAY JEEZY!!!
@ Meat shut the hell up! You just had to bring the holiness into the blog. Gotta be a church queen trying to degrade a rapper thats doing something good for the community. Don’t be mad because he ain’t contributing to your church building fund! Anway……..YO Jeezy holla @ me i need a couple of bills taken care of and a few electronics, new furniture……Hey Fawk it just give me $100,000.00 I’ll be good. LOL!
Yes, thats what it’s all about baby, and he looks so good doin’ it.
daaaaaattts riiight.. ( Geezy’s voice)
that’s what i like a site that showing the artist doing positive things.
yeah.. i need some bills paid too! LOL! Maybe a new TV! HOw about a another apartment! Can you help with that Jeezy?
I never thought Jeezy was attractive at all until these pics came out. 2nd time checking them out and checking him out. I’m liking him, his toned body and the stache. He looks good!
THIS NEGRO SPENDS ALL his time talking about trapping, selling, drugs and killin. his up and coming project is again called THUG MOTIVATION! THIS….STUFF…..IS…LABEL….ORIENTED…..YOU….. GULLIBLE……BLACKS. this is a slap in the face to real educators and mentors who ACTUALLY give back without a manager or publicist making them for pr purposes!!! and will u black people come up with a better debate rebuttal than just calling somebody a HATER! you sad sad children
Dang, it’s been a min since I saw Jeezy- I was trying to say something about him regarding Gucci Mane and Waka and couldn’t for the love of me, remember his name! I was saying everybody, from Young to Yung lol
Good to see ya dude
And even if his publicist told him to do it.. he did it! It is a shame if someone has to force a rapper to give back to the community instead of them trying to do it willingly! But who knows.. he probably did it on his own.. it was a surprise to the kids so thats what matters… Now… since Jeezy is being so generous help a sista out! Come to DC or meet me half way!
HA!… Rappers ‘giving back’… Why don’t show some SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN YOUR MUSIC!. STOP PRODUCING MUSIC THAT DEGRADES OUR COMMUNITIES. ‘Giving back my A$$!. This is only for tax deduction purposes. I hate IGNORANT PEOPLE.
Jeezy looks mad different… in a hella of a good way… didn’t even recognize his (now) fine self!
@18, 15, and 5 go eat a dick with aids on the tip let the man do his thing you sound like fucking morons
Jeezy contributes a lot towards his charity and others. As well as helping natural disaster victims and those in some of the poorer communities during holidays and other times. Every thing he does is not photographed or even mentioned so please talk what you know and not what you think.
As far as the content of his albums- life is really like that in some areas- so he shouldnt speak on what he sees or experiences? A photographer should only shoot beautiful pictures? A singer should only sing ‘happy’ songs? I bet you believe all movies should only have happy endings too huh? GTFOH with all that.
It’s ok to praise someone for a good job honey. Praise is free while negativity spends a little bit of yourself.
That was nice of Jeezy!
IF I HAD KIDS THEY WOULDN’T LISTEN TO HIS MUSIC THAT PROMOTES YOUNG MEN TO SLANG COCAINE WHEN THIS DUDE DONT SLANG DOPE. SOMETHING ABOUT SEEING A PERSON WHOM PROMOTES NOTHING POSITIVE DOING THIS MAKES ME FEEL ITS A WAY TO MAKE PEOPLE LOVE HIM, LISTENING TO HIS MUSIC IS A DOWNER. ICECUBE DID A MOVIE CALLED JANKY PROMOTIONS, WHERE THEY WAS JANKY TRYING TO GET JEEZY TO PERFORM AT HIS SHOW, AND HOW HE WAS SCARED WHEN THEY TOOK HIM TO THE HOOD, CUBE SON WAS INSPIRING TO BE A RAPPER CALLED YOUNG SEYMOUR TRYING TO BE YOUNG JEEZY, BOTH ARTIST WAS RAPPING ABOUT NOTHING YOUNG AND OLD.
GOOD ..I AM happy to see Jeezy giving back….his community needs him and people like him…Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!11
#20 THE OLD “RAP IS THE CNN OF THE HOOD” debate i see. i never saw katie couric or reporters yell we killin niggas down here and selling drugs good down here we movin weight son. news reporters sometimes report bad news RAPPERS ALL THE TIME GLORIFY BAD NEWS!!! JEEZY accomplishes the latter
@10. Hating Folk, I don’t care if he donates to Oprah, the church or to the local shelter…just as long as he stays away from the children. He could donate through CL for all I care. I just don’t like him and T.I. all of a sudden hanging around grade school children.
Scan the first photo and you’ll see children already throwing up signs and profiling cause they know what Jezzy stands for. Look on the front row at the light-skinned child to his right with his legs crossed. How impressionable is he? If this is a new chapter in Jezzy’s life, I’m all for it, but someone needs to constantly remind him of all the damage he has done by spitting trash. Don’t get so excited when a millionaire gives away a few thousand dollars. He would impress me more if he would denounce the foul-mouthed $#!T that made him rich. Not my hero!
woooooo!!!I came acorss a great hot cougar dating site.
If you put “A GE” and “MIN GLE” together, then you will get the url.
It’s a nice and free place for Younger- Women and Older Men, or Older Women and Younger Men, to- interact with each other. Maybe you wanna check out or- tell your friends
such a beautiful thing to do but in the mean time please follow me on twitter MarshCandy_20
#20 you kiss your mother with that mouth!!! your name is “Yung Gotti” that tells me everthing i need to know about you and your heros hahahahahahah
His material gifts won’t last as long or mean quite as much as the example and impression he leaves as a celebrity. He could’ve at least pulled his pants up in front of the children. His presence naturally encourages these kids to take greater interest in his personality, his character and his successes; the result is another distraction in the classroom and a bigger problem at home.
That’s a great look! Love what he does in his community. He’s always giving back and he looks amazing while doing it. He’s fit and looking handsome. Keep it going Jeezy!
LMAF @ nr 5 !
but hey good thing , in this hard economy we are grateful for every help .
By the way he looks good now , i never liked jeezy but dayummmm now he can get it ! lol
god bless him abundantly
To all in which dislike Jeezy given back to the community because of the things he says in his music. Most of those things could be fabrications of the truth. Have he really lived a life full of drugs, and violence. The majority of us don’t and will not know that answer. This is a stretch but I’ll say it anyhow. He is a poetic, story-teller, movie director, etc. He is anything he wants to be. That’s an artist capitalizing on his talent and what can make him the most money. Therefore, don’t go to hard on the guy for given back. He has time to change his ways….If he choose to do so….its his life and he has the right to live it how he wants. The kids know exactly what he stands for, and they can accept it or not. It’s up to their parent to instill good values in their life. Give Jeezy a break at least he is helping out in some way. A good deed is a good deed period.
i got bills too
Very admirable, just when I decided to write Jeezy and his music off here he is in the media doing something very postive for some well deserving kids and their parents. Hats off to yah brother, God bless!!!
@ 32. It’s not about helping it’s about the message he’s sending the youth, and dumb minded people that follow him trying to imitate what they hear in his music. I live in the hood and every time I open my windows all I hear is Jeezy blazing in the background and when I look out my window I see a gang of brothers hanging out all day with no real motivation. His album is titled thugs motivation 101 he’s motivating the thugs to keep their lifestyle up how every they got to. And not the right way by working a 9-5 but by staying ignorant and blinded to the real trauma this so called life styles brings. Yeah it’s so glamorous right
Let me hop on Ms. Cici. I was at a birthday party yesterday and I happened to walk into the room where some of the younger teenager /children was in. I look up at the tv only to see Ms. Ciara gyrating on her tip toes with her legs wide open (crotch all up in the camera) like she was giving birth. And this was on public tv 106 & Park which targets teenagers and children. We have to do better.
@35 I see your point. Well put. I’m going to agree with 36. I got to do better.
@32. William Rutledge, Don’t you agree that, If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck…its probably a duck? I don’t care if it’s fabricated or not, it sends the wrong message for children to be mingling with gangster rappers. For every dollar Jezzy contributes, our society will spend $1000 rehabilitating children like the ones profliling on the back row who see him as hard.
Here’s the message that children get from Jezzy nem: “I’ll make up some nasty poems, and get me some tatoos and hooos, then I’ll come back and give a few crumbs to some poor kids and everyone will forget what I said and look up to me. In my poems, I’ll talk call women b****s and ooos and I’ll glorify drugs and abuse. I won’t mention education or hard work…just party and be hard core.” You know the formula: “Get Rich or Die Trying”. It’s amazing how many writers on this thread believe in that message.
In time Jezzy can turn it around, but for now, I’d rather see people like him, T.I., Gilbert, Tiger, and Lil Wayne kept away from children.
@ Meat. I see you point as well. Those people you mentioned have a nasty persona..in the terms of not being healthy for the young ones to listen to. I’ve always question how the underage kids are able to get those negative albums that promote street violence and drug dealing. Some artist have leaved that life, in my opinion it’s a little deeper than the artist. Someone is given the okay for these kids to hear this type of music. I’ve heard…money is the route of all evil…and that is most likely the case. Jeezy is capitalizing on the young ones immaturity for thinking living a life in that aspect is cool. A solution to the problem is easier said than done. It’s easy to say others should step up besides rappers, but other don’t have the funds or the respect to do so. Anyhow, I would go as far as keep them away from kids because one of those kids might get something good out of it.
But, what does it profit us if one kid gets something good and the other the other 49 get caught up in the hype. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind them accepting money and resources, but not if it furthers the hard core message and not if it corrupts even one child. By the way, it’s the “love” of money that the root of all evil. Money in itself is a good thing because it all belongs to God, but the greed and vulgar ways the some people strive to get it is the problem. When I hear Chris Rock use the N-word, it proves that he will do anything, ANYTHING to get money. When Ciara does a strip show in her videos, it proves that she will do anything. When an athelete uses steriods, it proves that he will do anything. When Stacy poses nude in a magazine, it proves that she will do anything. When Snoop glorifies drugs and violence, it proves that he will so anything. I know you get the point, but here’s the question: What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul. Chris Brown gained the whole world, but he lost his soul in the process and now he’s back on the chitllin circuit. Tiger Woods gained the whole world, but now his back is giving out on him. There’s always a price to pay and when people like Jezzy realize the cost, they try desperatly to buy back what they’ve lost. So, I give him credit for taking a step in the “giving back” direction, but he could undo a lot more damage if he walked down the same mountian he climbed up on. He used his rap to pollute, so why not use his rap to restitute. “I use to pollute, but now I restitute”. See, even I can rap. All black kids can do this. The only difference between good and evil is, are you willing to say any and everything just to shock the weak-minded and make a buck? I enjoyed reading your blog and responses.
@ Meat, well said! Two minds are better than one.
Thanks for your thoughts Meat. You have really opened my mind to think more outside the box. You made great points and I really appreciate it.
hey meat….that conclusion is like selling drugs to feed your family aka “square one”. Ima kill these people to save these people…. because thats what hes doing. his next album will be all about selling drugs and killing to what give back to the same kids hes motivating to rob and kill. its a vicious circle of our black ignorance to even court this angle. If our mind is so polluted with being a drug dealing king…when u receive jeezys charity what message if any would resonate. he did say negate saying m president is black by following it up with his lambo and rims being blue haaaa. the former spent years in school and poor not to be heard of until his mid 40′s. the latter raps about never passing and dropping out of school to be rich in mid 20′s. yes dumbass kids can do that math especially when these teachers allow these roll models.
hmmm I commend jeezy or anyone for giving back. Esp Luda who gave to those young men who all are going to a 4 yr university. I may be wrong and I plan to go look but I wonder if Plies was shown any love on this site for his 25 day (which has been extended) giveaway. So far he awarded a 29 yr old mother of 5 kids with a car, a scholarship, a shopping spree, a credit card bailout up to 10K, and other “fun gifts”. Its in anticipation of his 4th release which comes out June 8th. it was suppose to come out the 25th of may (hence the 25 day giveaway which started may 1st).
The irony of this discussion is that, I couldn’t tell you a Jezzy song if my life depended on it. I’m just talking in general and “judging” him by the way he looks. Sometimes we make righteous judgement and hit the nail square on the head. I don’t listen to his music, but I have rode the subways and trains, and I’m well aquainted with the image he projects. So to me, Jezzy is just a stereotype in search of attention. How can he say to the children, “don’t make the mistakes that I made at your age” when all the time, he’s giving them the negative image and blueprint to copy. If he’s a man, he should put down childish things.
@45, you said it profoundly…: “that conclusion is like selling drugs to feed your family aka “square one”. Ima kill these people to save these people”. WOW! I suspect that every drug pusher thinks about that. It’s like Satin tempting Jesus after he had fasted for 40 days: “All this I will give you,” Satin said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” Jesus told him to “Depart from me”. In other words, “Keep yo S****” because, Jesus has all power over Heaven and earth.
If Jezzy wants to show that he’s the real deal, let him give it ALL back and start over.
jeezy lookin kinda good.
MEAT…U make no sense and sound bitter. Check out what this guy does all over the A and has been doing holiday events for years. And it’s the 21st century wake up and recognize it does not matter what you wear. What have you done with yourself to better the community as a whole? @ least he is giving back and rewarding the youth for a job well done.
Regardless of what he says in his lyrics, do you see the kids faces? They are sooooo happy. They worked hard and are rewarded accordingly. They’re happy, that’s all that matters, period. He did what he had to do growing up, now he has an opportunity to make a difference.
That’s what’s up! If I some cheddar, I’d do the exact same thing. He’ll get his blessing.
*had
@ Ms. M listen to yourself. Considering all the things that I’ve been through as a child I would never glorify it, if anything I would warn people of mistakes and try to make good of it. Not put it in a song for the world to hear and repeat. He could have said I lived this way but you don’t have to. Now I have no right to judge anyone at all but why you need to sell your people short to make a quick dollar? Money will comes and go but what you represent or put out there is forever and people will ALWAYS remember you by that no matter how hard you try to erase it. And i quote from one of his songs “AND WHEN I GO TO HELL LORD KNOWS I GON FRY” and this is the same man handing out unnecessy toy to young children. Stop posioning our youth that’s the best gift he could ever give to those kids.
That is really good of Jeezy and he look really cute in these pictures.
I use to love Jeezy at one point but as I grew and became wiser I had to part with his music. The only thing that music will do is keep me in a negative state of mind. Jeezy is a grown man he not no little boy and he’s responsible for everything that comes out of his mouth and what he puts in those records. Most of his supporters are not grown folks let’s be real, If you over 30 listening to Jeezy it’s time to check yourself. We are all responsible for our own actions; you can’t keep letting people lead you to do things you know are wrong. You have to step up regardless of how people my view you and say I can’t do that. Stop making excuses and justify negativity, money ant nothing! One day you have it, the next day you don’t!
@55. Is it me or…… Right on! I hope #49 J.B. reads what you said, because I can’t seem to get through to him (or her). I no nothing about Jezzy’s rap except what I read on CL…and the message is foul. Ms. M and J.B. sound like two of those 5th generation welfare recipients. “This is what gives us hope” mentality. Jezzy is cripling. He gets no praise for taking a few thousands out of the millions he’s earned by pimping his own.
@ say huh?
YOU sound DUMB AS HELL. Take a seat
#epicfail
It’s great to see a rapper giving back to the community
Keep doing you Jeezy
That was really nice of him. I like to see people give back to the communities that made them who they are today. I think some celebrities forget it’s your fans that make you rich & famous. Without sites like these and people like us, they would be riding the bus and eating at Wendy’s!
