Our photographer Taj Washington spotted Mashonda and her 3 year-old son, Kasseem in New York City on Friday afternoon (May 28th).
This spotting comes right after the surprising pregnancy & engagement announcement that Alicia Keys and Mashonda’s ex-husband Swizz Beatz made on Thursday night.
Mashonda didnt speak on Swizz’s upcoming plans, but seemed very happy to be enjoying a Friday afternoon with her son.
According to the New York Daily News, her divorce from Swizz was finalized two weeks ago but Mashonda wants money for missed child-support and alimony payments. Hope little Kasseem is doing ok.

They look good and I love the way her and Swizz dress their kids (he such a cutie as well as his bro). They are never in hoodlum clothing or the tacky country farmers type of plaid and also his clothes are HIS size instead of over sized. Monica take notes! (sorry for the ‘randomnes’ I saw the plaid and thought of the tacky plaid Monica always dresses her kids in)

Luv Mashonda, people can say what they want but going thru something similar it hurts. Money doesn’t ease the pain, God Bless her n her beautiful son. Well I hate to see families break up & I feel for the kids BUT as Dr. Phil always says kids would rather be from a broken home than to live in one. Swizz & Mashonda’s relationship has run it’s course so it’s best that they both move on. It’s over. Yes they could’ve handled things differently but what do people expect Swizz & Alicia to do now? They will now have their own child and relationship to deal with. I don’t agree with Mashonda putting everything out in the streets. You still have to protect your kids from all of the foolishness. I hope Alicia knows what she’s doing. If a man will cheat WITH you he will cheat ON you. All we can do is wait and see.
