Actor/singers Terrence Howard and Jennifer Hudson during the Jennifer Hudson Film Announcement at the Martini Terrace during the 63rd Annual Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 15) in Cannes, France.

The Incredible Shrinking Woman. JEN LOOKS GREAT. The perfect person to play Winnie Mandella. I see her getting her next major awards for this role. S he is a very fine and truly talented actress. Mr. T. Howard is a good actor but I believe I will have some difficulty in how he portrays this role as Nelson Mandella. Not anybody can play a convincing role of Mr. Mandella.
Ok so I love jhud as a singer and she looks beautiful, bt I never really thought she was a great actress, si I’m a little nervous about the film, coupled with the fact that sophie okenedo did an incredible job playing winnie mandela in a bbc drama entitled ‘mrs mandela’. Bt I guess time will reveal…..

JHUD looks as gorgeous as she wants to be. It is always the people with little are no dam money making smart a** comments. The whole outfit including the hair and the shoes will problemly put you back about six months to a year in the red. How are you going to say something nice, and top it off being a HATER. Opinions are just like an a** we all have one (it has no weight). Jen is very comfortable in her skin, and she have a ton of confidence in herself.

Good to see Jenn losing that weight – smart move since there aren’t many roles available for fat actresses and fewer still for fat black actresses.
JHUD is an amazing singer, but she is not a believable actress. The casting of both JHUD and Terrance Howard is misguided. Neither one of these two have the chops to pull off Nelson and Winnie. South African and British actor/actress would have been best supported for thise part. But, since this is an independent production, who really cares.

i agree with you Kayla. Its about time South Africans tell there own stories. I have yet to see a South African playing a leading role in any American/ European production… they should should used the local cast..
