Via her Twitter, Amerie released a brand new buzz single for her fans to get a taste.
Even though she is fresh off the heels of a release of her last album, In Love & War, which was her first release on Def Jam, she has announced that she is already hard at work on a fifth studio album, entitled Cymatica Vol. 1.
I’m guess “Who’s Gonna Love You” is just to show the fact that she’s been working.

Anyways.. this song is sooo out of Amerie’s league.. Beat sounds like Umbrella and the melody is kinda wack. Amerie’s voice sounds OK but she can make ALOT better songs! Especially when she’s working with Rich Harrison and The Buchanans. Her 1st album is the best.. totally opposite than this she’s doing now. She needs to stop singing like this, I want the old soulfull Ameire back.

Amerie can sing. No she isn’t Beyonce, but she definitely has a voice enough to have a record deal. I think Amerie has her own lane in music, people complain about her not doing anything different but Amerie’s style has been consistent and at least she hasn’t switched up like a lot of artist do. One minute an artist is R&B, and the next they are Rock. At least her style has been the same from albums 1-4. The only problem is, she has yet to have the right team to promote her music and make her a big star. “One Thing” was her biggest hit, and people have forgotten about that song.
Amerie’s music has big crossover appeal, it’s just about finding the right people to be behind the project.
I think this is a hot song BTW. She just needs to create the same momentum “One Thing” had, basically Amerie needs to hook back up with Rich Harrison. They had a falling out after the “All I Have” album, but he created Amerie’s style and made her have her biggest hit. They need to put everything aside and create magic again. Without him, I don’t think she can do it.

No Amerie, singing is NOT for you. You are gorgeous, but your voice is mediocre at best. Nothing is gonna help this child, but a voice double.
Here’s a thought… MAYBE not everyone aspires to become a huge superstar. Maybe she likes the music she is making and that’s that. I don’t know why people always harp on her needing to acquire huge fame. More to life than that. As long as she is doing what she loves, not wanting for anything materialistically (which doesn’t seem to be the case), and is healthy.. maybe that is enough for Amerie. Not everyone wants to be Beyoncé.
With that said, this song is good.. nice riding music. Also, everyone is a critic — and not everyone is going to like her voice or think she can sing. That’s fine, too.

Everyone that has a record deal can NOT sing. Everyone that CAN sing does not have a record deal. The industry clearly does not give a phuck about true talent, they are out to make money by any means necessary. If that means signing a pretty face with mediocre vocals, then so be it. It’s a shame that TRUE talent goes unsigned and unrecognized because of ‘pseudo-artists’ such as Amerie.

Amerie had promise at album one. Then she got caught up in noses and fashion and for me it all went wrong. This song could’ve been left over from any of her albums after her debut as the beat sounds recycled and so do her vocals. If she’s using this as a attempt to keep her name in the loop, its a lame attempt but fair enough, but if this is a first single she can forget it. I’m usually for artists having control, and i hear that she writes and co-produces her stuff and good for her but its all getting a bit stale so she needs to bring in a team to take over and do the biz. She also needs a vocal coach to work on her vocals, high is not working for Amerie.
I don’t stan for any artist as i like music too much, and no one artist has had a complete body of work in their career that has kept me hooked. People need to take a step back from this stanning lark and see the artist for what they are including there faults.
All these people who say she can’t sing listen to her track called PAINT ME OVER. Once you listen to it you will see her true vocal range.
Everyone has a place in the game and everyone’s voice is on a diffrent level. This is not a reason to say someone can’t sing because they can’t hit notes like Celine Dion or Christina Aguilera.
I like Amerie because she writes all her music, produces it, arrange it, compose it and has her own manament company. Most other chicks in the game don’t have their hands in their career like her. So for this I applaud her.

Let me clearify myself. When I siad listen to Paint Me Over I wasn’t saying that was her olny track she sounds good on. The reason I picked that sond is beause its a ballet and she worked the hell out of it to me. The thing your missing is this is her passion, her dream, her business, her career and she truely loves it. So I’m not mad at her do you Amerie and keep doing you because if you don’t who will?
