Singer/songwriter Johnta Austin never released his debut album, Ocean Drive, but he’s gearing up for a new project.
The lead single, “Close Your Eyes” (produced by Bryan-Michael Cox and Jermaine Dupri) comes from his forthcoming new project, Love Sex Religion, which he plans to release some time this year.

Johnta wrote on Mariah’s Emancipation of MiMi which was one of her last two albums and it was successful BIONICBROTHA83. Know what your talking about before you speak up. Tricky and Dream wrote Mariah’s EM2 which was her last one which bricked. And Mariah is not getting drop, she’s working on an album now, so it would be hard for her to get dropped. But back to the song it’s cool, some real R&B for the ladies.

He wrote “We Belong Together” & “Shake It Off” on the Emancipation of Mimi album for Mariah back in ’05. The Dream wrote the last album for her.
I could care less! I don’t like the way it sounds! To generic for me! I like music that utilizes real instruments! So I will continue to support people like Janelle Monae! People how are not following a trend, or wanting to stay current to make a dollar! Not to generalize, but it seems to me that most people born in the 90′s don’t really know what real music is! Trust me Auto-tune and computers ARE not a substitute for it! Well he should at least make better music for himself, cuz this is just to ABC-123!!!
Janelle Monae is dope! But a bunch of groups from the 90′s such as Guy, Boyz 2 Men, & Jodeci used drum machines and synthesized music. Their music was NOT live instruments. I understand what you’re saying though. But the days of the Al Green’s & Marvin Gaye’s are gone. Sad but true.
In the 90′s though the music was still good! It made you feel good, it had that spark! Now it just sucks! What’s missing is real talent, and artistry!
