Seems as though rock starlet Katy Perry is going for a more urban sound this time around.
For her second album, Perry has tapped writers and producers like The Dream & Tricky Stewart, as well as Ester Dean to pump out tracks for the new project.
“California Gurls,” the sophomore album’s lead single, features none other than Snoop Dogg.
Katy Perry plans to release her album some time in August, but there is no official word on a release date or title.

The beat at the beginning reminds me of a Euro song that was out in Europe lasty year but I can’t remember the name of it. This sounds like a cute summer song tho.

I do like to listen to different types of music so its nothing against the song its just annoying that some people think that having a black person feature on a song makes the whole song sound ‘urban’. Honestly if you didn’t know Snoop Dogg was on it you’d think it was a typical pop/dance song. Anyway, good for her for gaining a new fanbase, it’ll probably be played on rnb and hiphop radio stations too, grr all these popular songs!!
