Gym Class Heroes front man Travis McCoy covers the new issue of Honey Magazine. He spoke about his breakup with singer Katy Perry, new solo album and more. Peep some snippets below:
On His New Album:
“A lot of the songs were really sad and somber, but that was a year ago. I had just got out of a hightly-publicized relationship. When I wrote ‘Billionaire’ with Bruno I was like, Okay, this is the lane I want to be in. I am a whole completely different person now – a lot happier. ‘Billionaire’ captures where I am now. Before the album comes out I have a mix tape dropping called Forgetting Katy Perry. That doesn’t mean I’m airing out my dirty laundy. It’s just stuff that didn’t fit on this album. Bruno produced another song called ‘Dr. Feel Good’ and we got Cee-lo to sing on it, which might be the second single. Lazarius is just an overall really great summertime record.”On Katy Perry:

Mmm mm good–I love this freaking dude–I just love skinny boys with tattoos and stretched ears–tried to convence my boyfriend to get some–he thinks they’re gross but whatever, I will be getting my plugs soon.—he is so HOT…it’s ridiculous how hot he is..
i think he’s gorgeous (tats/piercings add to it) BUT i don’t think his personality is sexy. kinda disgusting actually (the whole brushing his teeth in his vids is kinda gross to me)
stretched ears are gross….. have you seen them without the plugs….yuck…& they stay that way for life, unless you go under then knife…but ppl like what they like
but let me tell you, my best friend owns a tatt shop and I dont have any tattoos. All the time I see young ppl coming into the shop wanting to set some dumb ass tattoo, I feel like pulling them aside to give them a stern talking to make them think twice, but my friend need to make $$ so i keep my mouth shut.
It’s the one of the reasons why I dont have any tattoo’s because I see just how stupid it really is. But never same never…I may get one someday..
He just contradicted himself. If he’s not dwelling about his breakup, why did he name his mixtape “Forgetting about Katy Perry” even if it doesn’t include songs that are directly aimed at her? I just hate, hate this skater punk look with all of these tattoos and skinny bones! He looks dirty and mental! He does look better with a hair cut and looks like he would have been cute without all of those tatts!
