Former Destiny’s Child band mate Kelly Rowland is gearing up to release her third studio album, which is presently untitled.
She’s currently promoting her first single, “Commander,” written by Rico Love and produced by international DJ, David Guetta. Samples of the new album have made their way online, the newest to release is “On & On.”
The track was produced by Brian Kennedy. There’s no word on an official release date for the album, but Kelly is expected to drop some time this summer.
I saw on youtube Kelly talkin about ppl sayin when she releases stuff beyonce doesnt let her shine & shit, she said it doesnt matter its not cuz they were on the same group that they have to release music at different times, she also gave examples of gaga or ciara releasing their stuff when she releases hers, IT DOESNT MATTER, and no they dont hate on each other, in her own words, they will love each other til their dying days so ppl stop the mess, Im surprised blogs didnt post it.

It sounds nice. I still am trying to get used to her making this type of music, but it seems to be working for her, overseas more than the states. I hope this becomes a rebirth of her career, I’ve always felt that she was a star and deserved to shine a little.

Anyway I hate this song but im lovin ms kelly right now. Commander is a beast, if she gets to perform it on atleast 2 major shows, Ellen, American Idol, Good morn america, Tyra, Saturday Nite Live or David Letterman….it should help the song become the major hit that it is.

I love this song and I love Commander by Kelly she is really doing her thing and she is no longer controlled by Matthew Knowles or Beyonce she is a star all around the world and millions of people are waiting on her album this time. The US have not accepted her yet because Matthew was holding her back but I guarantee this time sround she will be big in the US and all you haters who hate on her are going to have to shut up. i lived in 5 european countries and i can’t quite say she is famous. or someone spread that rumour and everyone’s talking about it?
she gave an interview on a british channel and she said she doesn’t have much money to buy a proper property in london and was looking for a one bedroom flat in some strange area (even i own a better place), blank stare, maybe she lied of course but thats weird.
and just for the record – i’ve been in 4 clubs over the last couple of weeks (im on holiday i can finally do it) and from all the music that was played in all these clubs i’ve heard just one song by kelly – WORK and it was played once! whereas beys and ri ris songs were like on damn repeat ( plus obviously lots of other artists)

The U.S. really doesnt rock with Kelly like that BUT I do! LOL she is making most of her money internationally. Her records are doing like double and triple platinum in other places but just not in the U.S. so if you think people are not liking Kelly’s music you are dead wrong.

I think as Americans we need to be a little more open minded. We assume because Kelly is black that she needs to stick to Hip-Hop or R&B type of music. That’s exactly why she’s more popular in Europe than she is here in her own home. We’re very closed minded here in the United States, while people over in Europe embrace all forms of music. I like the song. It reminds me of the music that Madonna did during her, “Ray Of Light” era. Keep up the good work Kelly!

This song is okay. It has a nice little electronic beat to it but it’s a little too electronic-pop for me. This genre definitely fits her voice and image. Kelly has a nice, soft, angelic, but powerful voice that flows nicely over dance beats and pop ballads. I agree with the person who said that she will probably not do well because she is known as an ex band member. She’s had her chance to shine but she was foolish enough to stick with that poor manager Matthew Knowles. Her first solo album went gold in the US but sold over a million copies in other countries; giving her a grand total of 2 million copies sold worldwide which is pretty good. After that, she fell off. Ms. Kelly only sold 500,000 copies worldwide but the single “Love Takes Over” sold over a million copies worldwide. If she continues to release this type of music overseas, and have a hell of a manager and publicist, she will succeed. She needs to get it right this time because she’s damn near 30 and you know who has already made her mark and made Michelle and Kelly look like washed up stars.

She has fans all around the world their are a whole bunch of people from twitter saying how much they love her new music read her twitter messages.
To the person saying she’s not big overseas the people that showed up to her performances prove you to be wrong no one said she was a mega star but she has had 6 top 5 and top 10 singles over there and has sold over a million records and she has been nominated and has won a handful of you alls awards that’s way more than she has done here in the states. plus there are plenty of kelly fans that I know personally from these countries and her european fans are some the most loving people I have ever met.
I really liked “Commander” but this crap is lacking. I hope it’s a demo or trash because that’s what it sounds like.
I think both the songs that leaked out are great!! They both have that crossover appeal. I’m happy Kelly. Kelly is trying to do her thang. I give her credit for that. Most people would give up, but she hasn’t. That says a lot about her. She also didnt badmouth anyone. BP need to start supporting each other instead of constantly tearing them down.
