As you might have know, French model/actress Noémie Lenoir reportedly attempted suicide over the weekend but new reports say she is up and talking and recovering well since the attempt.
She was found unconscious in a forest on the outskirts of Paris by a man walking his dog at the weekend. Noémie reportedly called the emergency services from the home of her former boyfriend and father to her five-year-old son, soccer star, Claude Makelele in La Celle-Saint-Cloud. However, she telephoned again to cancel her request for an ambulance, before leaving the property. She was found having taken a deadly combination of drugs and alcohol.
Police in Paris confirmed the reports, with a spokesman saying: “A young woman age 30 was found unconscious in La Celle-Saint-Cloud on Sunday afternoon. She was rushed to hospital for treatment for the effects of an overdose. She is now recovering well.”
Noemie, 30, recently featured in Usher’s music video for ‘Hey Daddy’, walked the runway for Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2010 show and also dated Russell Simmons last year.

Lol, amen to that! I’d never have the nerve to kill myself. When it comes to stuff like that I am a total punk. I couldn’t even slit my wrists which is pretty hands-off as far as suicide goes.

She is such a beautiful woman. I was so shocked to hear about her suicide attempt but I hope for the sake of her child she gets back to her normal self. She must be going through a lot to even attempt that. You never know what goes on in the heads of these celebrities, just because they’re smiling don’t mean they’re happy. Real talk.

Abnormal behavior is more with the Puertoricans who were slaves but think they are Spanish. im a fan of noemie lenoir and i wish her a good recovery. but i have to say im surprised at how judgemental some of you are i really think you dismissing how being in a depressive state can lead to acts of suicide. mental health is a very important issue and a lot of suicidal people, would rather commit suicide even when they have children because they feel that their children would be better off without them. no one is immune to depression and i can imagine being a model it can get lonely.i mean how many times does it need to be reiterated? that money does not but you happiness. you can ahave all the shoes in the world but if you do not have family and good people around you what is it for?

I have been suicidal before in my life, and it wasn’t because I wanted attention or was so selfish that I didn’t care how my loved ones would feel. In fact the latter is what ultimately kept me from doing it-and that is the sad cycle of depression and suicidal thoughts that is hard for those that have never suffered from it to understand. It is a very low, sad place to be when the ONLY reason you’re not taking your life is because of how others will feel about it and that makes you feel worse and so on. I’m not trying to inspire sympathy for myself (nor do I want it it), but please don’t judge her, pray for her. God knows her heart and mind-If she was doing this to get attention then she will have to deal with God and HIS judgment.
HECTIC!!!!…Well life is unpredictable…Guess she’s human has problems like evrybody else…Hope she recovers and doesnt do this AGAIN…Its FOOLISH and doesn’t yield anything…

I have a sister thanks suffer from depression and it is a mental illness. For those that don’t understand illness. (Sick). Like cancer, heart decease ect. Ppl that is well will never understand the pain. The act of suicide is selfish but if you can’t help urself they feel that they are of no use to their child or family. Some are so judgemental. wow. i’m a little miffed about some of the comments being made. ignorance is definitely bliss. we don’t even know this woman in her day to day life.
as a person, who has been on that side before and is afflicted with bipolar, do i think it is selfish? yes, it is a selfish act. but what some people don’t realize (and unfortunately, what most black people don’t realize) is that suicidal behavior is apart of mental health diseases and disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder. it’s not a race issue, it’s not a lack of faith or religion in some higher power, orientation, class- or even fame or publicity. it is an ILLNESS just like any other illness. and there is treatment and possibly a cure. i’m living proof.
