As seen above, many celebs attended the 64th Annual Tony Awards held at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday night (June 13).
Actor Denzel Washington (Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play) and actress Viola Davis (Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play) who co-star in the hit Broadway play FENCES, both walked home with TONY awards. Other winners of the night included the critically acclaimed play FELA!, which won for Best Costume Design of a Musical, Best Sound Design of a Musical and Best Choreography (Bill T. Jones).

In any era in American history, there have always been black celebrities, believe it or not. Most of the founders, inventors, and pioneers of America were black. A couple of negroes in a theatre accepting an award is not a sign of progress, and if people pay attention, it’s always the same 5 or 6 negroes.
