Not a fan. Some conflicting images in this photo. but i will say that “she” (i put she in quotes because not since the 80s (and before) has anyone totally crafted their own image a la Madonna, Boy George, David Bowe, George Clinton, Afrika Bambaataa, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five etc, etc) is trying to bring the “unique” visually to the rap game. The image is crafted. She wasn’t rocking this look prior to becoming a SIGNED artisted. When you are an artist you are and were always this way. cause for real the wigs have always existed, lol.

Hmm, I don’t really know what to think about the cover, but I have to give Nicki her props. I would imagine being an artist is hard enough, particularly on females in hip-hop. She’s very smart, and has a cool personality.. I just wish she would drop, or tone down the ” barbie ” movement. As far as the kind of fans she attracts, she knows her audience, and probably will continue to cater to them, hopefully things work out for her. :/
I don’t mind the Barbie thing. I doubt she’s that commited to it, anyway. She was clearly signed by Lil Wayne to be a female Lil Wayne and this Barbie moniker is about as serious as all the others rappers give themselves. It’s only because she’s a woman that people fixate on it. No male rapper who has compared himself to a god or stud has ever been taken to task over it.
