After the leak of an unapproved version of the video, former Destiny’s Child starlet Kelly Rowland finally premieres the visual attached to her first single, “Commander.”
The track is produced by David Guetta (he also featured in the Muto-directed clip), and will appear on Rowland’s third studio album, which has been revealed to be self-titled. The video also features a cameo of the song’s writer, Rico Love.
Rowland hopes to drop her new LP this September.

It would be a nice surprise to see Kelly actually have a hit album and song but I’m pretty sure she’s gonna flop.

1. She’s choosing to do music that has sold for her…not what she prefers to do (R&B Music).
2. The video is very FEEDBACK/SCREAM. I think they could have been a little more creative since Feedback was just a few years ago.
3. At this point, she needs to separate herself from her groupmates to show she’s a solo artist to the fullest.

I think this song is cool, I really love ‘Grown Woman’ and hope she does more songs like that – but until Kelly gets w/ a Benny Medina, or some one w/ a lot of connections and really in her corner she will never get the shine she needs. Let’s see what Universal Uptown does for her, so far they ain’t doing much, but doing more than those before who were handling her.

Out the 3 singles shes released this is the strongest but its being released as a international single because you guys dont get it. in the UK the NO.1 is from a diffrent genre nearly every week. In the us the NO.1 is always a Gimikey pop song or ocassionaly R&B/pop.

Kelly doesn’t have a personality. That shy, quiet, ladylike and formal routine might work for Beyonce who doesn’t have to try as hard but it won’t for Kelly. She can have dignity and still give us some idea as to who she is. She can be a sweetheart and still express herself. I think all the people who write her off make her so scared of failure that she makes these bad decisions in her career.
