I can’t believe somebody said this is the best pic they’ve seen of MIA, first of all. I don’t like this particular image though I think she’s gorgeous in general. To each her own, though. It’s all a matter of opinion.
Now, on to the song, this is both MIA’s worst song yet and Jay Z’s worst verse. He better rethink this indie thing. I know Jack White’s more into blues so they can do something that’s scarcely different from what he’s doing now, but MIA’s type of music is more subtle. Obviously he can’t go there without sounding lame as fuck. It’s Lil Wayne at his worst. Rethink this Jay Z. lol

I absolutely LOVE M.I.A. she’s extremely creative and makes rule music that talks about political and social issues but this song is one of the worst songs I have ever heard from her. I like the message, but the beat and the delivery of the vocals suck! WTF is going M.I.A.?

I love this song! In my opinion, it’s one of the best I’ve heard from her. Jay-Z’s verse wasn’t really needed though. This isn’t their first time collaborating. He was also on her remix to “Boyz”.

I don’t think any of her remixes with mainstream rappers have been official. Even “Paper Planes” I think. There were several remixes of it and I think the one with the most popular mainstream rappers just happened to stick. I took her joining them at the Grammys as consistent with her rebelliousness. She probably thought she was taking the piss out of execs. The rappers may or may not have gotten that or cared to get it, but I didn’t see their collaboration as her endorsing them. It was all about shock value. That seems to be her goal in life. So, this mix is something Jay Z did on his own most likely. And it was probably done before that interview was released. Unless he’s taking the piss out of her.
How about Jay Z make his own edgy music and stop trying to jump on tracks and collaborate with “indie” artist
