Award winning singer/actress Jennifer Hudson will be featured on the next episode of VH1′s popular show ‘Behind The Music’.
J.Hud, who is currently enjoying motherhood and the planning her upcoming wedding with fiance David Ortuga, spoke candidly about motherhood, her music and more. Check out some snippets of what she said below.
On Motherhood:
“Being a mother reminds me of my mom, in so many ways I channel her.”On American Idol:
“It felt like being in a bubble. Because you go on the show, and you really don’t get to go outside of the “Idol” world. To me that was the toughest part, but where I come from, as my grandmother would say, ‘Stand flat footed and sing.’ And just sing to the top of your lungs.”On her first album being in stores:
“I remember going to the record store, just to see it on the shelf. And I’m like, it’s a picture of me just like, ‘This is my first album and it’s finally here.’ This is the moment that I’ve worked for, and waited for my whole life.”<Jamie Foxx on Jennifer’s performance in “Dreamgirls”

I wish she would tell the truth about Beyonce’s jealousy during the Dream Girls era. We KNOW she was jealous: we ALL read that shady ass quote. I guess she doesn’t want the backlash and renewed rivalry. Still, it would make for an interesting quip at least. I’m really not looking forward to questions about her Mom, bro and nephew. Too sad.

Wow !! I didn’t know Vh1 still had Behind The Music, this should be a great episode, use to be a great fan of the show.. She is definitely a true testimony of a strong women, alot of women in her situation would probably be going crazy right about now, but she made it through with a beautiful supportive family and husband. I am just so happy how everything turned out for her despite her rough beginnings especially with the death of her immediate family. God Bless Her !

Im with you… i never got the big deal, she can sing but i mean so can have the females in church. I always felt much of success was based on the “rumors” of Beyonce being jealous. Okay… I’ve held this in long enough. There is something “missing” with this girl. I’ve always thought that there is some sense of arrogance about her and I agree that she has a wonderful voice, but no personality or stage presence at all. I thought she just about ruined Sex and the City movie with her horrific acting or lack thereof. And… I couldn’t for the life of me see how she won anything for Spotlight. That’s just my opinion. Kind of like… I want to really love her, but don’t. I cringe to think of how she will portray Minnie Mandela… I really do. That part should have gone to a real actor. I, like everyone else can’t imagine dealing with her tragedy and we feel for her. But as an actor she sucks big time and as a singer? Great voice, no personality, no connection. I also believe the “jealousy” issue was planted. Beyonce did her part fine in the movie and her role does not compare to that of who played Effie.
Both LONGBEACHCALI & Leo just sound really ignorant and thats all I will say.
Anyway I can’t wait to see this episode I know it’s gonna be a great watch. I also can’t wait for her album this September as well.
