It was great that you guys put a different artist up like this, most black people might hate on her though cause they only like Jay Z and Beyonce, (You know ass shaking talking about how much money they have type artists.) this girl is crossover. If she came out in any other period I’m sure her “unique” sound would reflect what ever trend was current at that time. I just think this 80′s wave is an easy excuse for anybody who may not be musically inclined but want to sell an image, not necessarily an image of beaty but just an image in general, can get put on because the music now and then in the 80′s was overproduced. how many more seemingly lady gaga influenced artists are we going to see, damn.

Amazingly….people actually take time out of their lives to hate. What artists in the industry don’t mimic someone else in the industry from past or current times??? Seriously, the folks that hate on her are brain damaged. I’m a music lover period. So all genre’s and styles interest me. I like the fact that she’s bringing this style back because it’s been absent from today’s playlist. And for the people that feel the need to call someone ugly….you need to dig deep within yourself and pull out all that negative energy. The photo is every bit of “Laura Charles” from The Last Dragon. If it were the 80s, she would be a competing label’s slightly inferior answer to Vanity & Klymaxx, and I’d buy her first (and only) record. I dig these tracks in that same spirit. They sound good, but don’t offer anything I can’t find in stronger doses elsewhere.
