All her new music is about How hot she is, and how much money she has. Someone needs to strip her of her Hollywood Rental Property, and Royalty Checks and send her back to Detroit to humble herself. At least her first album had some depth.

I feel bad for her. Jay dropped her over 4 years ago and still not much going on. But she CAN sing, if she drops the ghetto hoodrat image and music then she has a chance.

You can tell she’s not being true to her self. She still needs to find her way.

It’s a shame that she thinks the only way to get attention is the “hood rat” approach because this girl can really sing. One would think that given the cold reception to her second single from her debut album that she would try another lane. It’s so interesting to think back to when she & Rihanna debuted. I listened to both albums and thought that Teirra was the more talented vocalist but the material on her album was mediocre. Gotta love her tenacity – hoping that a really talented songwriter can hook her up.

I’ve been rooting for this chick from when she first came out, she’s very talented but her image and marketing is all wrong. I agree with whoever said she seems hoodrat. She oozes sex appeal and a certain kinda attitude but she is lacking in something to balance out the ghetto persona.

Every photoshoot of this girl has her portraying ‘the girl next door with the ghetto attitude’ which she doesn’t need when she is known as Teairra Mari (which is as ghetto as it gets). She needs to tone it down in her music and how she portrays herself. A little name change might work but I dont know.. its been years she been out, she might just have already missed her window of opportunity.

This is just embarrassing. Chicks like Teairra Mari, Cassie, and Christina Milian need to give up on the music business. She continuously puts out ghetto, bubblegum music and it always sounds a mess. I can’t stand her for the simple fact that she is selling sex desperately and she is so ghetto. Also, her voice sucks. She sounds like any ordinary black girl singing. The music world isn’t for everyone. Yea, there are plenty of untalented and/or gimmick music artists out right now who’ve made it big, but a lot of them only last for a few years and then nobody is checking for them anymore. She needs to find another career, one that doesn’t deal with the entertainment business, because this is not working out and never will.

Tearirra if you are reading this NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS. But chile you need to find you some ballads. I think the problem is these songs are outdated. Pop music and electronic is very popular right now but if she doesn’t want to go the pop route she should find a nice ballad. I like Shontelle’s Impossible. Teairra should consider singing a song like that and finding some better producers.

They leak songs for feedback and if it were a good song people would say so. It’s better us telling her to try something new with her sound before she releases something for real for real and it flops. I’ve been waiting for Teairra to hit me with a nice little song but so far nothing she has released has been hit material. Ballads would be good for her and she should take these comments as constructive because nobody is saying she can’t sing. People would actually like for her to pop off because of the fact that it is talent wasted if she never finds her niche.

I think she can make, but not out the gate like this. She needs to start with some really nice r&b ballads or something….then unleash the other side. Cause right now her image isn’t believable because we really don’t know her. But you have to crawl before you walk. Look at rhianna..she had to play by somebody else rules when she first came out with regards to her image….now she has built some credibility and was able to take her image in a totally different direction.

T. Mari has a pretty voice and she’s a pretty girl. And she got EXCELLENT stage presence. She got the total package, she’s just not being marketed correctly.
