Ne-Yo presents the mini-movies for “Beautiful Monster” and “Champagne Life”, the first two singles from his upcoming fourth album Libra Scale.
Ne-Yo revealed that “‘Beautiful Monster’ is one piece of a very long and intricate story. When you see the first video, make sure you’re paying attention because all of the videos tell a story. So pay attention — you don’t want to miss nothing. ‘Beautiful Monster’ represents the love interest / arch nemesis in the story [of] Libra Scale, which the entire album is based off of.” Libra Scale is set for release September 21.

Beautiful Monster is getting good plays but I dont like it. This champagne stuff will have to grow on me.

the one great thing about MJJ is he never needed a room full of extras and dancers to keep everyones attn, his presence was enough, somethings are better toned down and existing elements fine tuned

That was the point of the video. He is playing the sun god “Horus”, as Will Smith played in the movie “Hancock”. If you pay attention, Alicia Keys and Eminem played the same roles in their videos for “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart” and “Not Afraid” respectively. The storylines revolve around them becoming “gods” by allowing the spirit of the “Rainman” to enter into them. The “Rainman” is the entity that inspires their music. That is why Columbus Short, playing “Ra” the sun god (a.k.a. Rainman), tells Ne-yo that he can take his “power” (fame) away because he is the one that gave it to him. In other words, Ne-Yo let the spirit of “Ra” into him, becoming a proverbial “god”. “Ne-Yo” is clearly a top occultist in the industry, and he has been used to pen alot of the songs that have helped destroy the minds of these black females through pawns like “Beyonce” and “Rihanna”. He obviously named himself after “Neo” from Matrix, who is another reference to Horus the sun god.

SCREAMS MJ, a lot of the moves do at least. I actually didn’t like this song when it came out, but the mini-movie won me over, so it’s growing on me.
