Bryan-Michael Cox’s Blackbaby, Inc. artist Bertell releases his first official single, “Bet Not Be.”
The track, produced by Ced Solo and written by Nate Walker (responsible for Jamie Foxx’s “Blame It,” and “Say Aah” for Trey Songz), will lead off Bertell’s forthcoming debut album, Goin’ Hard.
There’s no solid release date on Goin’ Hard, however the album is slated for fall release.

im a songwriter with placements. im sorry but this song sucks. the only way this would b a hit is if there is a payolla scam behind this song. if they wanted a dream sound they should have got him to write the song, cuz this is a bad imitation. sorry b cox u havent been puttin out no great hits lately. him and jd are responsible for messing up r&b with their simple lyrics. im not hatin im jus being real. im sure this guy is good artist its just not the right song… they better put out a second single out quick
He’s going to be like every other artist that got signed but have been benched because they sound like everybody else that’s out right now. This is why I don’t listen to the radio. Everything sounds the same and he’s going right along with it.
Man I LOVE bcox n everything((mostly)) he does…but real talk fam…this isnt the Record to call a hit or a single…MAYBE an album filler but you blendin in tooooo much! Hits are those automatic OMG cant wait to hear whats next joints…I’d honestly say go back to the drawin board on this one…No hate what-so-ever, just wanna see u make it!

Weak vocals to start off. Weak concept, and the lyrics just aren’t taking me there. It sounds like a record that someone just threw together. If the Dream’s sounds is what you were going for…. Do yourself a favor and get the Dream to write it. You get what you pay for. So sad. Another Artist bites the dust.

OMG! He is really LAME. But he kinda sound like Jamie Foxx. Sound like a 10 year old wrote the song. He sounds forgetable. I dont know wat Cox was thinking with this one.
