The Smith Family (Jaden, Willow, Jada and Will) attended the UK Film Premiere of The Karate Kid at Odeon Leicester Square on Thursday (July 15) in London, England.
The remake has already grossed over $200 million and producer and father Will Smith spoke on his son’s growth with Sky News saying:
“I’m looking at this poster and he is not just that kid any more, this experience has added an extra element to his life, the growth and discipline and hard work and integrity.”

Not sure how healthy it is to have such NEGATIVE opinions about people one doesn’t know?!… There is nothing wrong with how Willow dresses; it’s more than age appropriate and more importantly, it’s FUN. Shaving her head = different & brave. The impression I get is that Will and Jada are looking to raise their kids beyond the confines of ‘normal’. Raising their game to another level. Best foot forward always (you get my point). So many people follow protocol and fail to challenge the status quo in order to live their best possible life… Be happy for them.

Actually, the family looks the nicest I have seen them in a very long time. Willow’s hair is pretty and I see braids have it growing. Mind you I still think the cut is to grown for a child. Willow reminds me of my niece whom was grown as hell too at that age and was pregnant at 13yrs old. Where is Jada’s breasts though? her hair style is looking fierce as hell. This is BLACK Family Royalty. Both parents come from humble beginnings w/ strong family ties. Both parents are highly talented in the field of acting – the Creams of the Crops. & it naturally has trickled down to their children.
Karate Kid remake is a million times better than the first. Jaden is MAGNIFICENT!!! You can tell Will practiced with him, I swear I cried 3 times in this movie & saw it twice. I support Black Arts whenever I can.
If you havenot seen Fela! on Broadway (Another Will Smith production: This Man is on Fire!) It’s definitely a MusT C! YOu are literally dancing out of your seat.

I think Willow is fab. She dresses like a kid. Multi-colorful, punky hairstyles – trust me this kids are on the right path. I would not worry about them in the future with getting in trouble. They have strong parents.

Nobody said anything about Madonna’s kid growing up too soon when she was photographed in Burberry when she was under 10 years of age. What about Maddox from the Jolie-Pitt clan? What about how Dakota Fanning use to interview like she was a grown woman of 30 years of age? The media use to call her smart, not bratty.

You are WAY off base and completely ignorant in your statement. Yes there is racism everywhere. In my experience the UK is way more outwardly racist that the US. Racism in the US is more undercover and institutionalized. At least in the US you see way more blacks in TV and in magazines. blacks have more visibility in the US. Racism in the UK is far more blatant! I have lived all over the UK and in several US states. I have never had a white person call me a n*gger to my face in America but in the UK i grew up outside london being called n*gger almost daily. It’s not about who has it worst, racism is racism whether overt or undercover. And even though the UK is racist it’s social structure isn’t based on race. In the US most people living in the hood or in poverty are minorities/people of colour (although this is changing with the recession) In the UK you see every colour in the projects (council estates) so there’s less segregation. Anyway you just seem bitter and racist yourself. Anyone that has actually experienced extreme racism know how disgusting racism is. You making a blanket statement about all white people makes you no better than a filthy racist yourself.
I know people aren’t knocking actual talent versus the actresses we are currently seeing (white folk only use my name to fill seats for movies that they know are mediocre). I don’t have to call any names, but lets be real, black folks haven’t had any real talent in Hollywood since Angela Bassett. I digress. Jaden has the last name Smith, but I don’t mind politics as long as the people are qualified. AND JADEN IS QUALIFIED. He worked on his own stunts, and his parents made sure that he received quality coaching. Willow will emerge as the big star in that family watch and see. I love that her parents allow her to express her own style. Why do black people always want to put the brakes on thier children’s creativity and individuality? I’m glad my mama let me do me.
I do think Jaden, unlike Trey does exude some distance but maybe that’s just his personality. He doesn’t seem quite as comfortable with the spotlight as Willow clearly does.
I was at an event this weekend and saw the very wealthy oldest son of a sports couple at a couple of places and he exuded humility and grace. His parents have clearly done their job well. He gave off not one iota of privileged snottiness and yes, I agree Jaden kinda does. But he’s probably been encouraged to be himself and he’s still a kid, so we can expect him to evolve. People have said Jada was a bitch when she was younger and she got better, so…
