But things close and similar are usually what people compare. Why do you think color has anything to do with the fact that the style was VERY similar to one another? I was 22 when she passed & it was serious. Aaliyah had this sweet vulnerable quality to her that even though she was a star and sexy and all of that, she always seemed like just one of your girls. I personally don’t agree there should be any comparision, Aaliyah was a trendsetter and everyone envied her style, her swag. I saw her sing live and just like Ciara, she wasn’t that great, but she had other attributes to make up for it. All young woman wanted to emulate her, point blank. period.
