Former Danity Kane starlet and current Dirty Money member Dawn Richard seems to be working on a solo project.
The Trina-assisted “Bottles” (produced by Rob Halladay) is the first single and offering we’ve heard from Richard’s debut studio album, A Tell-Tale Heart.
Honestly, it was a little weird to see a mention of a solo single from Dawn, considering that Dirty Money’s Last Train To Paris album hasn’t even dropped yet.

HONNNNEY!!!! Dawn & Aubrey were the only two people I saw in that group the rest were never present Dawn for the voice & dance and Aubrey for her triffling ways. Plus hatred brings out the best in rivals and Dawn jocking Aubrey for the spotlight and Diddys attention brought out the best in her.

I think the song is aight…I got in a few head bobs while it played. I’m not in love with it, mostly because of Trina on it *blank stare*…oh, and the autotune. Dawn’s voice is awesome, I just wish she would showcase it more and let it blow. *shrugs* I do however, think its a great effort and definitely has club appeal. I love how diverse she is and am looking forward to more from her. But I will say this: this chick is grindin’…HARD!!!…and I can’t do anything but support and root for someone that is working this hard to fulfill her dreams. People that work as hard as this girl always succeed. You better werk girl!!!

I think it’s hot! I was doubtful that the song would be hot with Trina on it. She doesn’t have good flow. Until now, all of the work I’ve heard from her has been choppy and increasingly intolerable. I was pleasantly surprised by the way she rides the beat on this track. Good job, Trina! Keep it up!

I can’t believe people are getting mad at others for “dissing” Dawn! A lot of y’all sound crazy as hell! To be honest, Dawn doesn’t have the “IT” factor. She definitely doesn’t have the beauty, style, sex appeal, and image to appeal to mainstream audiences or even the urban audience, and she doesn’t have the voice. Yes, she can sing, but she sounds too urban; like any ol ordinary black female singer. Not to mention she doesn’t have the right sound. This song is so generic, it’s all autotuned out and the lyrics suck and are cliche. Dawn is a great dancer and works very hard, but I really think that her “success” is only in being a background singer and songwriter. I wish her the best with whatever direction she’s taking because Diddy did the group wrong and only cares about Cassie, but I don’t see anything big happening for her.

To the person who said that Kalenna needs to be working on something and assinuating that Dawn and Diddy are going to do Kalenna “dirty”, apparently you’re not aware that Kalenna has been a songwriter for years and is signed to a songwriting company. Kalenna has written songs for major artists and has done features for several artists. She is also working on solo projects. If you have paid attention to any Dirty Money interviews, Dawn, Kalenna and Diddy have all said that Dirty Money is a one-time thing. They only plan to release one album and then they are going to do solo projects.

Based on comments I read in various places, Dawn has alot of appeal. Dawn has a loyal fanbase that is growing everyday. She is very talented and there are people who are actually waiting for her to release a solo album.

well am i the only one who heard the Drake sample? anywho i like dawn as a person she seems real sweet. the song doesnt “sound” like something she’d do but you gotta sell to the idiot teeny boppers. the song is ok its a “now” song which means just a thumping beat (which i like almost everyone else likes they bass) but no nothin in the way of lyrics its easy to chant to so she might just be ok as far as a club song. Get you a nice hook and a club song you just might make it tin the world. but since shes been in so many things reality shows 17 musical groups (j/k) it all seems as an act of desperation. but i hope she does find her niche in music somehow but diddy is like the kiss of death to a career.
